WSOP 2015: Blending into the crowds
All right, so it is a big day today. This last opening day of the World Series Main Event always is, and you only had to look at the line for the bathroom to get an idea of the scale of the field.
But, the Rio was ready for it, if not the attendant with the mop, with all corners of the Amazon, Pavilion and Brasilia Rooms pressed into service. It meant finding your friend, husband, wife, son, etc. wasn't easy without directions, but it served as a useful reminder just how popular this event is.
In between the crowds, the rail birds, and the floor staff trying to keep a handle on everything, were some familiar faces unable to blend into the crowds.
There were also some of the other sights you grow familiar with here. Phil Hellmuth giggling mirthlessly at something, a man playing while wearing a chef's hat, a man running to the bathroom, a minor celebrity, and two guys in the hallway talking about what could have been.
Another day at the WSOP.
