We are just a little more than 12 days from the start of spring’s biggest tournament series. Beginning on May 8 at 10am, the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker will kick off with $25 million in guaranteed prize money.

PokerStars has just announced that the start times for the events have been altered to better fit the European sleeping schedule. All events have now been backed up by three hours from their original starting times. Now, all you folks in Madrid, Copenhagen, and Oslo will be able to catch some z’s at more regular hours.

Owning to recent events about which you might have heard, the guarantees of some events have changed from the original schedule. You can check out the full list of guarantees, start times, and events at the 2011 SCOOP tournaments page. Other than that and some changes to the late-night Tuesday tournaments, SCOOP is still the same tournament series you’ve come to expect, including the sweet watches that will be awarded to all champions.
