10:35pm: Play concludes
Play has now ended for the night with 41 players remaining – just three spots from the money.

Tom Alner is the current chip leader and a full recap of the day’s play, along with updated chip counts and a full seating draw will be coming shortly.

10:30pm: One more hand
The clock has been paused with just 3-minutes remaining in the level as Iori Yogo drew for how many hands we would play.

That answer is just 1.

10:25pm: Play slowing
As was expected, the speed of play has slowed right up as we are now just three eliminations from the money.

At this speed, unless we see some coolers, we won’t be making the money tonight.

10:10pm: Kim exits, down to 41
Jae Young Kim – or “YugiohPro” as he is known online – is the latest casualty here late on Day 2.

With Kim on the rail, there are now just 41 players remaining, and with roughly 25-minutes left in the level, making the money will go right down to the wire.

10:05pm: Ace-high win for Alner
Tom Alner opened to 6,000 from middle position and was called by the cutoff as well as Patrick Crivell from the big blind.

Alner continued for 7,500 on the 2♣ 5♣ Q♠ flop with both players calling as the K♣ landed on the turn. The action would be checked to the cutoff who opted to bet out 17,500 which forced a fold from Crivell as Alner went into the tank for close to three minutes before making the call.

The river would fall the J♥ and both players quickly checked as Alner tabled his A♣ 8♠ for a busted flush draw. His opponent would muck, and just like that Alner would be shipped the pot with just ace-high to take him to just over 500,000 in chips.

10:00pm: Minh and Yang fall
Day 1A chip leader Kai Sheng Yang has just been eliminated while Minh Nguyen also hits the rail to see the field size chomped down to 43.

9:55pm: Down to 45
Another table has broken to leave us with five tables and 45 players.

Seven more eliminations until we are in the money.

9:45pm: Alner still leading
A quick round of chip counts sees Tom Alner still in the lead with 520,000 while Calvin Ho has crept into second with 340,000.

9:40pm: Play resumes
The race-off the black 100-denomination chips is now complete and the cards are back in the air with 47 players remaining.

This is the final level of the night, and hopefully we will end it with everyone in the money.

9:20pm: Break time
The remaining players are heading on their last 10-minute break for the day.

9:10pm: Juicy gets aggressive
Catching the action on the flop of K♣ K♥ 10♥ we found Juicy Li continuation-betting 5,000. Her lone opponent in the hand responded with a check-raise from the small blind to 15,000 which Li called.

Both players checked the J♣ on the turn, and when the 5♦ was checked by the small blind, Li moved all in for roughly 125,000.

Her opponent deliberated for a few minutes before eventually releasing his hand as Li moved to roughly 170,000 in chips.

8:55pm: Yang slipping
On a board of A♥ 10♥ 4♣ 3♥ we found Kai Sheng Yang contemplating an opponent’s all in amounting to 58,900.

Yang went deep into the tank before eventually making the call with his K♣ K♦ only to see the bad news that he was up against A♣ 7♣ .

There would be no miracle king on the river as it fell the 10â™  and Yang would slip to 45,000 in chips.

8:45pm: Small win for Wong
Ken Wong kicked it off with a raise to 5,000 which was met with two callers; one of which was Michael Sun from the button.

The 7♣ K♥ 2â™  4♦ 4â™  board was checked through with Wong’s Aâ™  Qâ™  besting both players as Sun sheepishly flashed his A♦ 10♥ .

8:35pm: Kim pushes flop
Catching the action on the flop of 4♠ 6♣ 4♣ and the pot sitting at roughly 60,000 we found Wei Hsiang Yeu betting out 16,500.

With the action on Jae Young Kim, he moved all in for roughly 115,000 to put Yeu into the tank. Eventually the Malaysian opted to fold his hand while slipping to 190,000 as Kim collected the pot to move to roughly 185,000 in chips.

8:25pm: Some of the big stacks
The majority of the field is sitting with an average stack, but there are only a few players over the 200,000-chip mark.

Tom Alner – 520,000
Saehoon Lee – 335,000
Wei Hsiang Yeu – 230,000
Calvin Ho – 225,000
Iori Yogo – 220,000

8:20pm: Level up, blinds 1,200/2,400, ante 400

8:10pm: Side event update
The PLO Championship now is up to 73 players while the Ladies Asia Championship has 16 females remaining including Kitty Kuo, Celina Lin, Yu Kurita and Lacey Jones (below).

8:00pm: Down to 54
As we round out towards the end of level 12, the tournament is now down to just six tables – or the final 54 players.

Just 16 more eliminations needed until we are in the money.

7:55pm: Cheam silenced by Alner
The biggest pot of the tournament has just been played with Tom Alner the recipient.

It started with a few limps before Alner made it 6,200 from the button. With the action on Australian Alvin Cheam in the small blind, he made it 15,000 before the big blind moved all in for 31,300.

The limpers folded and Alner made the call along with Cheam as the dealer produced a 10♦ 6♦ 3♣ flop.

Cheam tapped the table and Alner reached for chips and pushed out a bet of 38,700. Cheam broke down his stack and then announced he was all-in for roughly 115,000. Alner instantly called.

Alner: A♠ A♥
Cheam: K♦ K♥
Big Blind: J♣ 10♣

With Alner a massive favorite, the 9♥ on the turn and Q♣ on the river would ensure the pot was pushed his way while Cheam and the big blind were forced to the rail.

Once Alner stacked the massive pot it left him with an overwhelming chip lead with 525,000 in chips.

7:40pm: Chio eliminated
Raymond Chow opened to 5,000 from the cutoff only to have Tom Chio three-bet shove all in for roughly 65,000. Chow asked for a count, paused for a few moments, then slid all his yellow 5,000-denomination chips into the pot to signify a call.

Chio: 9♦ 9♣
Chow: A♥ A♠

With Chow having the best hand in poker, the window card of the A♣ would further cement his lead as the flop filled out A♣ 10♣ 7♥ . Chio picked up outs on the turn when the 8♠ landed, but after the 4♣ completed the board on the river, the overnight chip leader in Chio would be sent to the rail.

7:30pm: Saehoon leading, Alner and Yeu still in contention
A full round of chip counts has just been taken and it seems as though Korean Saehoon Lee is the new chip leader with roughly 355,000 sitting in front of him.

Tom Alner remains strong on 295,000 while Wei Hsiang Yeu has a healthy 230,000. Amazingly Lee and Yeu share the same table alongside Jae Young “YugiohPro” Kim (148,000) and Roger Spets (100,000).

7:20pm: Play resumes
The cards are now back in the air with 67 players remaining in the tournament.

With just 19 eliminations needed until the money, the countdown has begun to that money bubble.
