8:10pm: Wei Hsiang Yeu eliminated in 2nd place (HK$1,170,000); Jian Yang wins!
After Fred Leung introduced the players and photos were taken, the dealer dealt out the first hand of play that saw Jian Yang with the button. Yang opened to 150,000 only to have Wei Hsiang Yeu three-bet to 350,000 from the big blind.

Instantly Yang grabbed two stacks of 25,000-denomination chips and slid them into the middle indicating a four-bet to 1,150,000. With Yeu put to a tough decision, he went into the tank for roughly two minutes before making a triangle with his hand to indicate he was all in (since PokerStars Live have a triangle-shaped all-in button) for 2,565,000. Yang instantly made the call and the cards were tabled.

Yeu: K♥ 8♥
Yang: A♣ 4♣

With the rail in disbelief that there was an all-in on the very first hand of heads-up play, Yeu would need to spike to keep the heads-up battle alive, and once the dealer spread a Kâ™  Qâ™  3â™  flop, Yeu fist-pumped as he had now taken the lead.

As players called for a combination of cards – mainly kings and aces – the 7♦ on the turn cancelled out any backdoor straight cards Yang would be looking for. With the rail now rowdy as ever, the A♥ would be smacked down on the river sending Yang’s arms high in the air to celebrate as four of his railbirds leap-frogged the metal barricade and went rushing to Yang to lift him in the air in celebration.

Yeu could do nothing but shake his head as his chance to take a big chip lead were crushed on the river. Fortunately for the Malaysian, he will have HK$1,170,000 to make him feel better and reward him for a very gallant runner-up finish in the ACOP Warm-Up.

8:10pm: Play resumes
The cards are now in the air in the ACOP Warm-Up with Jian Yang of China against Wei Hsiang Yeu of Malaysia. There is roughly 21 minutes remaining in this level with the heads-up chip counts as follows.

Yang – 4,140,000
Yeu – 2,570,000

7:35pm: David Foran eliminated in 3rd place (HK$695,000)
David Foran opened to 120,000 from the button and Jian Yang defended his big blind to see a Q♠ J♦ 9♣ flop fall.

Yang went into the tank for several minutes before pushing out a bet of 100,000. Foran responded by raising to 300,000 only to have Yang declared a raise and push out 800,000 total. Foran didn’t take too long in announcing he was all in for 1,620,000 total and Yang instantly called.

Foran: Q♥ 9♦
Yang: K♦ 10♦

With Yang flopping the nut straight, Foran would still have outs to a queen or nine, but when the 7♣ and 2♣ landed on the turn and river, Foran would be out the door in 3rd place while Yang and Wei Hsiang Yeu would head on a short dinner break until 8:00pm local time.

7:20pm: Billy Argyros eliminated in 4th place (HK$547,000)
From the small blind Billy Argyros moved all in for 465,000 after only looking at the A♦ . Wei Hsiang Yeu instantly called and tabled his A♠ J♥ as Argyros slowly squeezed out his A♦ 9♦ .

With Argyros needing to find some luck again, the J♣ Jâ™  10♣ flop saw him searching hard. The Q♦ on the turn gave him hope with a king to chop and an eight to win, but unfortunately for the Australian, the 9â™  landed on the river to end Argyros’ tournament in 4th place for a HK$547,000 payday.

7:15pm: Billy shows fives
A short-stacked Billy Argyros moved all in from under the gun for 430,000. The action passed to David Foran and he uttered, “I have a good one here!”

Foran deliberated for close to three minutes before eventually laying his hand down.

Argyros flashed his 5♣ 5♥ and scooped some much-needed chips.

7:10pm: Yeu pushes out Foran
David Foran opened to 100,000 first to act and Wei Hsiang Yeu three-bet to 325,000 using his orange 25,000-denomination chips.

Foran re-checked his hole cards and then mucked while slipping to 1,400,000 in chips.

7:05pm: Win for Yang
Jian Yang opened to 150,000 from under the gun and Wei Hsiang Yeu called from the big blind.

The flop fell 2♥ J♥ 10♥ and Yeu check-folded to Yang’s 300,000-chip bet.
