After five weeks and nearly 18,500 votes, the results are in for the PokerStars Big 20 Players Awards!
We asked you, loyal poker fans, to vote for what you considered to be the most memorable moments from 20 years of televised poker in PokerStars events.
There were 10 categories celebrating the best bluffs (successful and failed), the best hero calls and folds, the sickest coolers and bad beats, plus the best actors and celebrators, and the most memorable winning moments, alongside the best moment that had you shouting “WTF!?!”
The polls featured poker superstars alongside first timers; old hands and the new breed. There were also one or two players best known for their exploits away from the poker tables, until these polls came around.
Anyhow, here’s how you voted:
Winner: This beautiful bluff from DANIEL NEGREANU
Winner: This tournament-ending call from Mr. Super High Roller STEVE O’DWYER
Winner: He didn’t win the tournament, but this fold from DANY PARLAFES deserved to win something. Amazing.
Winner: It seems the voters liked it when SCOTT SEIVER gave Humberto Brenes a taste of his own medicine.
Winner: One of the most emphatic results gives the prize to the very badly beaten PHIL HELLMUTH.
Winner: Everybody enjoys seeing TONY G. silenced.
Winner: Nobody in the world of poker bluffed with such conviction as VANESSA SELBST, even if they didn’t always come off.
Winner: Did he do it on purpose? Seems as though we think he did. DANIEL NEGREANU got more than half the votes cast for this one.
Winner: It really seems as though KEVIN HART was trying to do the right thing. But good intentions aren’t always enough.
Winner: For one so young, SEBASTIAN MALEC really knew how to entertain a crowd.
