Sami “Lrzlsk” Kelopuro: High Roller champion
Kelopuro the killer in High Roller: From an exceptionally talented field, there was an incredible final table. And from that incredible final table, there was an all-time final three. The $10,300 buy-in High Roller wrapped last night in the Blowout Series with Timothy “Tim0thee” Adams, Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira and Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro the last men standing. It was a phenomenal line-up of some of the very, very elite, and each player led the field at one time or another. Adams and Ferreira have already won during this tournament series, and it turned out that last night it was Kelopuro’s turn. There were several thousand people watching on the PokerStars Twitch channel as Kelopuro knocked out both of his final challengers: Adams in a cooler with Aâ™ Q♥ to Kelopuro’s A♣ K♥ (it all went in pre-flop) and then Ferreira, who hero-called all in with 6â™ 9â™ on a board of J♥ 2â™ 9♦ 3♣ A♥ . Kelopuro had pocket jacks and it was all done. Kelopuro won $260,831 for this latest victory, which is not even in his top five biggest career cashes. He is a SCOOP Main Event champion and has nearly $15 million in documented online cashes, according to Pocket Fives. This is just one more huge title in a career defined by them.
That might not be all from Kelopuro: In addition to beating arguably the toughest field of Blowout Series so far, Sami “LrsLzk” Kelopuro was also playing Day 2 of the latest Big Blowout!, whose field of nearly 13,000 entries shrunk to its last 16. And wouldn’t you know it, one of them is Kelopuro. He sits in fourth place overall going into the last day, with $818,484 on the line for the winner. PokerStars streamers Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg and Lex Veldhuis finished in the money, in 853rd and 464th, respectively, but there were still plenty of top names involved as the tournament played deep into the night. Julian “jutrack” Track went out in 17th the end proceedings for the day, leaving the likes of Marc-Andre “FrenchDawg” Ladouceur, Andras “probirs” Nemeth and the aforementioned Kelopuro to battle into the last day. The leader is Poland’s “DrawindDead“, who has one big blind more than “Gwolde” of the Netherlands. The final stages will be streamed live tonight on the PokerStars Twitch channel.

Ognyan “cocojamb0” Dimov: One of two for Bulgaria
Dimov Zooms to title: Bulgaria has a solid unit of consistent performers in major tournaments, both live and online, with the likes of Dimitar “KuuL” Danchev, Simeon “IamBuddhaa” Naydenov and Dimitar “cocojamb0” Dimov all in possession of major titles. Dimov, who won EPT Deauville in 2015, is the first among them to win on the Blowout Series, however, after he picked up a Zoom title last night. The Zoom events are played heads-up and with a Total KO format, meaning there’s no prize pool per se, rather everything comes in bounty payments. The last player standing is always going to get the most, and Dimov duly collected $39,326 from this $530 buy-in event, beating Ukraine’s “stassv24” in the final heads-up battle. Poland’s “Tr!pleeeee”, who has already won two events in Blowout Series, came fourth and picked up $6,027 in bounties.
Sophomore victory for “Freshmannn”: This time last year, “Freshmannn” was at the Winter Series final table, finishing fourth for $100,000 even. Three hundred and sixty-three days later, the Bulgaria based player was back at a final table on the re-branded Blowout Series, and this time went all the way to the title. The one was the $215 buy-in 8-Max Freezeout (Event #58-H), which attracted 1,231 runners and played start to finish on Monday night. Freshmannn ended with all the chips and a payout of $38,719.
