The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker begins in just a few days and I couldn’t be more excited about it. SCOOP gives me a chance to break away from the daily cash game grind for a bit and focus on fun.

Last year I played two of the biggest SCOOP tourneys I could find, and I’m looking forward to getting involved in a few more this time around.

This year, I’m looking forward to two events more than any other. I will not miss the $25,000 heads-up event or the pot-limit Omaha tourney. I’m also planning to play a few of the high stakes hold’em events, and, of course, the $10,000 main event. If I get the chance, I’ll also try to hit up some of the smaller or middle stakes games, as they are always good.

I’m not fooling myself about how difficult SCOOP is going to be this year. The scale of competition is hard to match. What’s more, I’ll be coming straight off EPT San Remo and EPT Madrid, so maintaining focus won’t be easy. But, there are some great prizes on the line, so I’m going to do my best.

I’m just feeling really excited about the tournament as a whole. Hopefully I’ll get deep in the money in the big one!
