Do you know a woman who deserves a PokerStars Platinum Pass?

As players, advocates for poker, and for the industry overall, many inspirational women have made a positive impact on the game and the poker community.

To celebrate their contribution, PokerStars is awarding a $30,000 Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) in its second female-only PSPC competition.

Entry is simple. Players can nominate any woman they believe has made an impact on poker, or is an inspirational woman in poker, by telling us in 50 words or fewer why their nominee deserves the Platinum Pass.

Entries can be made using the hashtag #PSPCWomen on Twitter or by emailing competition@starsgroup.com. Nominations can be made from now until March 20.

Six finalists will then be shortlisted by a panel of external and internal judges, after which those six will jet to a future live event before the PSPC to play in a live Sit & Go. The Platinum Pass will be awarded to the winner of the tournament. The finalists’ trip will be all-expenses paid, with flights, transfers, three nights’ accommodation, and room folio included.

Don’t forget, women also have another chance to win a Platinum Pass at PokerStars on International Women’s Day this Sunday (March 8) in the Women’s Sunday tournament.

The event will award a Pass to the highest-placing female, with two €1,050 PSPC direct qualifier tickets going to the second- and third-placed females. In addition, a host of $2.20 satellites to the Women’s Sunday tournament have now been added, giving players the chance to qualify for the event.

To celebrate 25 years of International Women’s Day, and to ensure more players can take part in this weekend’s celebration, the buy-in has been cut by more than half to $22. The tournament takes place at 14:40 ET, features one rebuy, and late registration is available for an hour-and-a-half. Players must be female to play in the tournament and have their gender assigned as female in the “Settings” tab. Females who would like to assign their gender can contact PokerStars Support.

The PSPC will be held in Barcelona from August 20-24, 2020. In January 2019, the inaugural PSPC became the biggest $25,000 buy-in live poker tournament in history. It was won by Platinum Pass winner Ramon Colillas who picked up $5.1 million and furthered his dream by becoming a PokerStars Ambassador.
