EPTBarry Greenstein had been in a tough few spots, dwindling down to 16,000 from the 50,000 these high rollers sat down with. It’s a three-day event, though, and with blinds at 150-300 there would be plenty of time to rebuild patiently. Or just double up – that would be quicker.

So it was for ‘The Bear’, who found AA and was somewhat chuffed to find himself in a pre-flop raising war with Roberto Romanello. It ended with Barry’s 16,400 in the middle with his aces against Romanello’s 77 – a perfect spot for a double-up, and the 52KA3 board obliged.

That puts the Team PokerStars Pro up to the 35,000 mark, a far more comfortable place sandwiched in the following chip counts.
