EPT €25K High Roller: Rousso flushes out Romanello
1 Minute Read
She sat there thinking, taking off her sunglasses and sighed saying, “That’s just about the best flop for my hand…”
After a couple of minutes she pushed all-in and Romanello made the obligatory call and flipped the 8♠ 7♠ but Rousso turned over the dominating A♠ 5♠ and stood up for the crucial pot. The 5♥ on the turn improved Rousso’s hand but actually gave Romanello three more outs but a blank J♦ river helped neither. Rousso boosted her stack up to 63,700 at the break, while the Welshman, fresh off already doubling up her PokerStars team-mate Barry Greenstein, is now back down to just 21,000.
STOP PRESS!: We just put that post up and Vanessa went on another double up. Romanello raised to 1,500, Barry Greenstein called, Vanessa made it 5,000 and then the big blind made it 14,400. Vanessa pushed all in for 65,000, called, the other two got out of the way and the card went on their backs.
Vanessa: A♦ A♣
Big Blind: A♠ K♣
The board of Q♦ 2♠ 8♦ 3♠ 9♥ confirmed Vanessa’s dizzy rise to 135,000.
