The end of the day may be fast approaching, but for some out there in the tournament room it’s more like high noon. Last chance duels are taking place in all corners to determine who stays and who rides out of town.

The player’s name hasn’t been confirmed but the luckiest poker player in the world might be in the room as we write. A three way all in saw aces against aces against kings. “I was nearly going to fold!” said the kings player, moments after the 8-K-4-J-9 board was dealt.

Elsewhere there are a few match ups in the current landscape that could yet change the shape of day two. It’s Sebastian Ruthenberg vs. Jonas Klausen; Randall Flowers vs. Ilari Sahamies; Peter Jepson vs. Andreas Hoivold vs. Alex Kravchenko; Danny Ryan vs. Isabelle Mercier; and Annette Obrestad vs. Jonas Molander.

30 minutes still to play…
