More tough tables today after an overnight re-draw, one of which has to be Joe Hachem’s table. The Team PokerStars Pro is at one end of a table with Jan Boubli, Casey Kastle and John Tabatabai, the latter two just clashing in a sizeable pot that ha boosted Tabatabai’s prospects.
On a board already reading 6♠9♠3♦K♣ Kastle in the small blind was sat waiting for Tabatabai to respond to his 5,000 bet in the big blind, a single yellow chip. Tabatabai called for a 4♣ river card. Now Kastle ramped up the pressure, 26,000 to Tabatabai who lowered the volume on this headphones and started staring at Kastle.
“I don’t think I can fold this” he said, still staring at Kastle. He got no reply. Instead of waiting any longer he called. That’s when Kastle did reply. “Good call”, Tabatabai turning over 9♣4♥ for two pairs. That took him to 60,000 while Kastle slipped down to 25,000.
Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
Elsewhere Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, buoyed by his new world record perhaps, just sent Andrew Feldman to the rail, the chips going in pre-flop, kings over tens, with no improvement for the Englishman.
