There are all kinds of rules out there about bankroll management, the art of balancing your poker funds to beat variance and keep yourself in the game. If you listen to some players they’ll say that you should always have 50 buy-ins, others claim even more than that. Then there’s cash game play versus tournaments and online versus live. Some advise aggressive rules for recreational players (you know, given that you play less frequently and aren’t relying on poker as your sole income) or ultra-conservative for the grinding pro.

What you will find in the video below is a perfect example of the everyone-thinks-they-know-best approach to bankroll management. Me? I like the Jason Wheeler approach…*
