In all the high rollers at all the EPTs we’re all but certain there’s never been a Senegalese player reach the final table and if you’ve been following the Main Event coverage you’ll know a similar phenomenon is happening there.
What shouldn’t come as a surprise is that the two players involved are good mates. With two left in the Main Event Muhyedine Fares has the chip lead and a short hop away Imad Derwiche is one of three players left in the €25,000 High Roller. Unlike his mate, Derwiche doesn’t have the beauty of a chip lead but much like Fares he’s got top pros standing in his path.
What Carrel gives up in years to O’Dwyer he makes up in terms of chips. At the time of writing this is how they stack up:
Charlie Carrel, 7,700,000
Steve O’Dwyer, 1,650,000
Imad Derwiche, 1,400,000
