We’ve had some protracted bubbles in EPT history and the EPT11 London High Roller is another that can be added to the ledger. That’s because the 25 remaining players have just been sent on a 75 minute dinner break. Just 23 of them will make the money and receive, at the very least, £19,650.

Aido has the house bragging rights

And two housemates will be enjoying their dinner more than most as Sergio Aido (820,000) and Adrian Mateos (500,000) currently sit atop the chip counts. To put that in perspective, they’ll return to blinds of 4,000/8,000 ante 1,000. Aido won a huge pot with a full house against Joel Nordkvist’s nut flush to ascend to the top.

Also noshing down on noodles or slurping soup with a smile are the likes of Jorryt van Hoof (490,000), Niall Farrell (455,000), Frederik Jensen (400,000) and Craig McCorkell (375,000). Whilst the likes of Steve O’Dwyer (60,000), Sam Trickett (110,000), Mark Teltscher (120,000) and Marvin Rettenmaier (150,000) might find their food harder to stomach as they’re in the danger zone.

Could Coren complete another EPT double in London?

Team PokerStars Pro still retain an interest and a healthy one at that as Victoria Coren Mitchll (400,000) and Johnny Lodden (330,000) are well placed to make a run at this thing. Ike Haxton was the last remaining Team Online Pro left in the tournament but he busted out around an hour before the dinner break.

Colman in busts High Roller shocker!

He’s in good company on the rail as Dario Sammartino, David Vamplew, Max Silver, Joni Jouhkimainen and Dan Colman are just some of the big name who’ve been eliminated on Day 2.

They need to lose 17 more to set the final table but play will only continue for another four levels. The tournament director predicts that’ll mean 12-15 players will return tomorrow when they’ll play to a winner and someone will collect £394,200.
