EPT12 Prague: Step this way high rollers for your €10,000 event

December 14, 2015

Whilst Day 4 of the Main Event sees the prizes go up and the numbers go down, in the €10,000 High Roller the only number that will go up (apart from the blinds) is that of the entries.

And we expect this event to be huge. Last year Andrey “Kroko-dill” Zaichenkno triumphed over a field of 233 unique entries and 76 re-entries to win a first prize of €487,180 after striking a three-way deal with Laurynas Levinskas and Francois Billard. Today’s event follows the same format as last year, the high rollers can pony up another €10,000 in this single re-entry event should they bust during the ten one-hour-levels that are scheduled today. Entry is, as usual, open until the start of Day 2.

Whilst it remains to be seen if Zaichenko is back to defend his title, the 2013 winner is in the field. Ivan Soshnikov is one of 19 players to have won their seat into this event through a live satellite. Others to have taken the same route include: Piotr Franczak, Tamer Kamel and Vitaly Lunkin.

There are currently around 66 players in the event and big names aplenty: Jonathan Little, Jeff Rossiter, Simon Deadman, Igor Kurganov, Paul Newey, Daniel Dvoress, Mike Watson, Dermot Blain and Juha Helppi.

Expect the big names and the field to grow as the day continues.

You can follow all the Main Event action on this page.
