EPT9 Barcelona, €10,000 Heads Up Championships: Smith, Bonomo and Augdal waiting for the semi-finals

August 23, 2012

Justin Bonomo, Terje Augdal and on-fire high roller Dan Smith are all through to the semi-finals in the €10,000 Heads Up Championships guaranteeing themselves a minimum €38,000 payout. One of Marc-Andre Ladouceur and Steven Silverman will join them in the semis but all five have decided to put the tournament on hold for the €10,000 High Roller, which has just started (coverage of which can be found here).

Combined with the fact that some may get caught up going to watch Barcelona FC’s football acrobatics (throwing themselves to the ground, some might say) then the Heads Up Championships may take some time to complete. Smith will no doubt have to win the High Roller first…

The payouts
1st. €136,700
2nd. €91,000
Semi-finals. €38,000

The semi-finals draw
Dan Smith v Terje Augdal
Justin Bonomo v (Marc-Andre Ladouceur or Steven Silverman)

Justin Bonomo

Plenty of tournaments have come to an end though, EPT and ESPT both. More confirmed tournament results are about to hit the press desk (which includes Scott Seiver’s 3rd place €45,630 finish in the €2,000 side event which wrapped late last night). Those results and more can be found on the EPT side events page.
