EPT9 Barcelona, €10,300 Heads Up Championships: Elky out. Minieri, Duhamel through.

August 22, 2012

We’ve had some big scalps in round one with ElkY falling to Rui Cao and Alec Torelli getting taken out by Samuli Sipila. Jonathan Duhamel has just knocked out Martin Jacobson in their third and final match while Juha Helppi seems to have Sorel Mizzi up against the ropes as one of the last round one match-ups to finish. Just four places pay out and we’ll play down to that today. Those semi-finals start at noon tomorrow and we’ll post updates here at the PokerStars Blog.

Dan Smith continues with his startling side event run at the EPT. Not only has he won the Super High Roller here for €962,625 but he owned three side events at the EPT Grand Final for a total haul of €770,980. Surely he can’t book another win?
