This morning, the PokerStars Blog team went their separate ways. One of us took a wander around the Wallace Collection, a few blocks from the Edgware Road. Another headed to a supermarket, which was even closer.
As we exchanged stories on the walk to the casino, we talked about the cabinets of armoury in the museum, which includes an implement known as a “tilting shield”. It is a very appropriate name for something that should be used at a poker tournament.
“I’ll crowbar that in to a post today,” said PokerStars Blog Correspondent A. “We’re pretty close to the money, so there’ll be a lot of people needing a tilting shield.”
“I saw some bubble bath in the supermarket,” said PokerStars Blog Correspondent B. “I’m sure I can get that in too.”
Yep, it’s bubble day at EPT9 London, with or without the aid of Mr Matey. We return with 113 players, of which only 96 will be paid. For fairly obvious reasons, the short stacks will need to be very worried, but chances are there will also be at least a couple of the big stacks overnight coming back and thinking they’re safe but who will be anything but.
