Lex Veldhuis has a reputation as one of the fiercest online cash game players in the world, who nevertheless dabbles every now and then in the live tournament environment. Veldhuis would probably be the first to admit,his tournament scores are not quite as impressive as many people would expect, and he has an unhappy habit of busting in spectacular fashion.

It will almost always have been “a great spot”, but usually even better for his opponent.

But will he break his live hoodoo here in London? Well, he’s overcome the first hurdle: he has made it through day one.

Here he talkes to Laura Cornelius of PokerStars.tv about his tournament so far, and can barely keep the smile off his face.
