Into the third level of Eureka4 Prague and it’s officially confirmed that this is the biggest event ever on the Eureka tour. Over 1,000 have now entered today and with well over a hundred more alternates still waiting to get a seat (the tournament is already on alternate no. 76), the field is likely to be over 1,500 before long.

Everyone is still desperate to get into Eureka4 Prague

With no free tables in sight for the next few hours, the €5,000 satellite for tomorrow’s Super High Roller has had to be moved upstairs to the Mezzanine where the cash games are situated. This event is starting at 4pm and it’s likely that a few of the more deep-pocketed players will schedule an appearance across there – especially if they manage an early bust-out in Eureka. Tournament director Luca Vivaldi reckoned they could be using six or more tables and that he might have to reluctantly go to ten-handed play to fit everyone in.

Team PokerStars Online’s Mickey Petersen might be one of those checking out said satellite. He has about 5,000 remaining in Eureka and said, “Put me down as a maybe, I might play it if it looks good.” Elsewhere Team PokerStars Marcin Horecki is on just 8,200 but Eugene Katchalov is doing much better with 29,500.

George Danzer, the 2014 WSOP player of the year, is on the waiting list but he’s alternate 149 and at this point the tournament is only up to no. 60. Also waiting, but about to get into the event as alternate 64, is PokerStars sponsored-player Stavros Kalfas. The Greek player finished 6th at Eureka4 Vienna for €43,240 in March.
