The Ebola virus is spreading and the crisis could quickly spiral out of control. Families in Sierra Leone and Liberia desperately need your help.
More than 4,900 people have already lost their lives in what has been confirmed as the largest and deadliest Ebola outbreak in history. By the beginning of December, there could be 5,000-10,000 new cases per week.

As the outbreak rages on, people’s lives are at a standstill. Many are living in fear and forced to be prisoners in their homes, while children are denied the freedom to play or attend school. Livelihoods have been disrupted and communities quarantined. The impact of Ebola is felt far beyond those who have contracted the fever.
CARE International, our emergency partner, is responding to the crisis in West Africa, but urgently needs all of our support to help prevent the disease spreading further. Proper hygiene is critical to prevent infection, so CARE’s efforts include distributing soap, buckets, gloves and chlorine.
You can help to provide these essential hygiene kits, as well as support the distribution of information on how to best to prevent Ebola’s spread, to thousands of men, women and children. CARE has calculated that $15 will help protect a family from Ebola for a whole month and that puts the power of helping into our hands. We’ll donate $20 on your behalf for each 1,200 FPP donation that you make through the VIP store.
