So, you’ve heard about it. You’ve even heard from people who have seen it, but you still haven’t had a chance to see KidPoker for yourself. For a great many of you, that is about to change.

Today, Netflix released KidPoker for all viewers in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

If this is the first you’re hearing about the film, here’s a quick catch-up: it’s a feature-length documentary all about Daniel Negreanu, beginning with growing up in Canada, moving on to pool hustling in Toronto, and bringing us all the way up to his current status as one of poker’s best-known and most successful players.

“This is a story of clear intention and determination, in that the odds were stacked against me, especially in the early years,” Negreanu said. “I want this to be an inspirational film, so that when people watch it, they feel they can get back on the horse and pursue their dreams too.”

Beyond Negreanu’s early life, KidPoker is also a peek behind the curtain of the high stakes poker world and features interviews with the likes of Vanessa Selbst, Phil Ivey, and Antonio Esfandiari. Along the way, you’ll learn about some of the people who helped Negreanu’s rise to fame, most notably his mother.

KidPoker is available on Netflix now.
