If you’ve played a Super Tuesday, a Sunday Million, or any one of the ‘COOPs, chances are you’ll recognize the screen name “marroca5.” The moniker belongs to one of the top players in Colombia, a quiet young man named Mayu Roca.

Roca was an absolute beast in this year’s SCOOP, making four final tables in four disciplines of poker. He finished third in the $2,100 8-Game and was runner-up in three events: $1,050 PLO 6-Max Turbo, $2,100 Stud Hi/Lo, $215 Limit Hold’em 6-Max. Roca’s run was good enough for third place on the “high” SCOOP TLB and sixth on the overall TLB. Roca also earned a WCOOP bracelet in 2011’s $530 Stud Hi/Lo event, beating Anders “Donald” Berg heads-up.

Roca arrived to Day 2 with 124,000 in chips and made a steady climb throughout the day. However, by Level 19, he was down to about 20 big blinds. With the action folded to him in middle position, Roca opened for 16,000 and the button called. The flop came down K♠ 10♣ 9♦ and Roca continued for 18,000. The button called. The turn fell the 7♠ and he fired another 28,000. The button min-raised and Roca moved all-in for another 60,000. The button snap-called.

Roca turned over A♠ A♦ but the button had flopped the joint with Q♦ J♠ . A meaningless 2♠ rivered and Roca calmly stood up from the table, his tournament at a most brutal end.

On the other end of the spectrum, Angel Guillen’s stack continues to grow. He three-bet shoved for 170,000 and saw his pocket sevens hold up against Bruno Kawauti’s Aâ™  K♦ . Guillen was up to 350,000 after the hand. Then, only moments ago, Angel raised the river on a Q♣ 8♦ 5♥ 7â™  2♥ board, making it 150,000 to go with another 210,000 behind. The big blind had another 425,000 behind but folded his hand after a long tank, sending Guillen’s stack up to 575,000.

Across the room, Caio Pessagno was down to 70,000 after hitting a high-water mark of 350,000 right around the bubble. Pessagno shipped it in with Aâ™  7♥ and held against K♣ 10♦ , doubling his stack to 150,000. He’s now back up to 245,000.

In the last level we’ve also bid farewell to LAPT Vina del Mar champ Mario Lopez (114th), almost-bubble girl Bruna Araujo (120th), Day 1B chip leader Anderson Kim (102nd), and Felipe “Mojave” Ramos (109th). 74 players remain as the last half-hour of Level 20 ticks off the clock.
