We counted up the fiches during the day’s first break at the Latin American Poker Tour Peru Main Event, and here’s how the stacks looked among the final four:
Claudio Moya (Chile) — 3,233,000
Daniel Ramirez (Colombia) — 1,740,000
Chadi Moustapha (Lebanon) — 1,700,000
Cristian Aceiton Ruiz (Chile) — 413,000
The blinds stepped aside, and Moustapha didn’t hesitate before making the call.
Moustapha: 10♣ 10â™
Ruiz: 8♥ 8â™
The Chilean needed help from the board, but none of the five cards nor any combination thereof gave it as they came 7♠K♥ 7♦ 5♣ 4♦ .
Moustapha and Ruiz shook hands, and Moya came around the table to give his fellow countryman a hug before he headed to the opposite corner of the poker room to collect his prize for finishing fourth ($58,060).
Claudio Moya (Chile) — 3,047,000
Chadi Moustapha (Lebanon) — 2,372,000
Daniel Ramirez (Colombia) — 1,822,000
But after a few minutes of talk the trio decided to play on, and so onward they go, each still seeking the $156,576 first prize and LAPT Main Event trophy that goes with it.
