Last call for International Women’s Day Platinum Pass nominations, due Friday

PokerStars is still receiving your nominations for the International Women’s Day Platinum Pass giveaway. But time is running out!

The response thus far has been tremendous. If you know a deserving woman and want to nominate her, you better act soon. Nominations are only open one more day — through Friday, March 20.

A quick review of how to nominate:

  • Nominations must be 50 words or less
  • Make your nominations via Twitter using the hashtag #PSPCWomen
  • You can also send nominations by email to
  • Nominate any woman you think has made an impact on poker and/or is an inspiration to others
  • Get permission of the person you’re nominating

Once the window closes on nominations at the end of the day tomorrow, Friday, March 20, nominations will be shortlisted and six finalists chosen by the following panel of judges:

Rebecca McAdam – Associate Director, Group Public Relations at The Stars Group

Francine Watson – Associate Director, Branded Content at the Stars Group

Jennifer Shahade – PokerStars Ambassador and Chess Grandmaster

Andre Akkari – PokerStars Ambassador

Maria Ho – Poker pro, TV host and spokesperson

Joey Ingram – Podcaster and content creator (with Ben Spragg)

The panel will choose the six finalists by March 30, and after the finalists are all notified we’ll be announcing their names here on the PokerStars Blog and elsewhere during the following week.

The finalists will then be invited to a live Sit & Go at a future event, with the winner receiving a Platinum Pass worth approximately $30,000 USD. That covers about everything, but here are the full Ts & Cs for the giveaway.
