Manila Megastack 7 (May 29-June 4) kicks off on Monday at PokerStars LIVE Manila and it’s time to take a look at what’s arguably the fastest growing poker series in Asia.

The seven-day schedule features a ₱30,000 Main Event which comes with an ₱8 million prize pool guarantee.

The Main Event’s inaugural run in January 2015 had a modest 61 runners and ₱1.3 million prize pool. Those figures have swollen to 646 entrants and ₱14.1 million (283k USD) when Siong Boon Heng, the reigning champion, won the Main Event last December. In fact, Heng’s top prize of ₱2,771,000 was more than twice as much as the original Manila Megastack’s entire prize pool!
