Do you have the means to get to New Jersey this month? Can you find somewhere to stay in Atlantic City? Do you have friends or relatives who could put you up? Could you get some?

We mention this because PokerStars might just have made New Jersey the capital of the poker world, announcing not one major event to take place in New Jersey, but two, spanning the online and live poker realms to create three weeks of the ultimate poker experience.

What do we mean exactly? Well we have the first ever New Jersey Championship of Online Poker. Then, we’re staging the first ever PokerStars Festival in Atlantic City.

NJCOOP

Running from October 15 to 31, the Championship will featured 43 events, combining for $1.2 million of guaranteed prize money. That makes it the richest series ever staged in New Jersey. Entry fees will range from $15 to $1,000 with satellite events running around the clock for players seeking a cheaper way to play in the richest events.

To play NJCOOP you’ll need to be based in New Jersey. You’ll also need a PokerStars account. Click here to get started.

The 16 day NJCOOP schedule features numerous highlights, although the $200,000 no-limit hold’em Main Event stands out the most taking place over two days from October 30-31. They’ll also be a high roller event with a $1,000 buy in and a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000.

Among those looking forward to this brand new series is Team Pro Jason Somerville,

“It’s great that players in the region can experience playing in this prestigious festival and the buzz that comes with chasing big prize money and major tournament titles,” he said. “I’m looking forward to playing and streaming NJCOOP on Twitch in my hunt to win a title in its debut year.”

But NJCOOP is just the start of three great weeks of poker.

PokerStars Festival New Jersey

The first ever PokerStars Festival New Jersey gets underway in Atlantic City from October 29 to November 6, with more than 50 events.

As PokerStars Director of Live Events Edgar Stuchly put it, it’s a festival PokerStars is thrilled to be staging, it being the first live event PokerStars has sponsored in the United States since PokerStarsNJ.com launched in 2016.

As you’d expect, this inaugural festival will be worth waiting for, with Team Pros such as Jason Somerville (headlining a special Run It Up event on November 5), and Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier and Chris Moneymaker in attendance, but they’ll also be events away from the tables for players to take advantage of, including a Q & A session, hosted by Somerville.
