Thereâs a new time for the PokerStars weekly Womenâs Sunday tournament, starting from this weekend (Sunday 31 October 2021).
It now begins an hour earlier at the new time of 13:40 ET on PokerStars.com
The new time is based on player feedback, and is designed to allow more players to take part.
Late registration will still be available for an hour and a half, and a number of satellites from just $0.22 will take place from Thursday to Sunday.
âWeâve been doing a lot of work over the past year to enhance our Womenâs Sunday and engage our female community in a way that rewards and entertains best but also works alongside their other priorities,â said Rebecca McAdam Willetts, Associate Director of Consumer Engagement and Public Relations at PokerStars.
âEarlier this year, we tested the buy-in of the event at the lower price of $22 and received very positive feedback with increased attendance. Â Weâve now also decided to amend the time of the event to see if it works better for our players.â
Since March, PokerStars has been adding extra value for Womenâs Sunday players with tickets for events like SCOOP, WCOOP, and the Bounty Builder Series added to one event a month.
PokerStars has also been engaging female poker players by shining a light on women in poker and in the industry. And earlier this week, PokerStars announced its partnership with the largest and most active global community for women in technology, Women Who Code, to improve female representation and diversity, and encourage women to grow their career within the industry.
