The Bounty Builder Series wrapped on Monday, with 212 tournaments in the books and one of the global game’s megastars winning the biggest prize. Read on for all the final details from this $36.6 million series.

Padilha hits a new high: He is one of the best tournament players in Brazil, and one of the best tournament players in the world, and now Pedro “PaDiLhA SP” Padilha is a Bounty Builder Series Main Event champion. Last night, the brilliant Padilha — a three-time SCOOP champion, a WCOOP winner, a winner on the Winter Series, and a close friend and associate of Andre Akkari — added yet another major success. Victory over a field of 5,581 entries in the $530 Bounty Builder Series Main Event was worth $259,570.11, including $90,784.78 in bounties, bigger than any of his previous online successes. Only his 10th place finish in the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas in 2019 was worth more. (Oh yeah, Padilha is an excellent live player too.) Brazilians occupied four seats at the final table and seven of the last 15 places in the tournament, which played out over two nights to decide who took what from the near $2.8 million prize pool. The man from Sao Paolo defeated the UK’s “.COM??LOL” heads-up to claim the crucial final bounty and seal the deal at just after midnight, Padilha time.

Pedro Padilha: Biggest online score

Bounty Builder Series $530 NLHE 8-Max Main Event
Dates: October 25-26, 2020
Entries: 5,581 (inc. 1,458 re-entries)
Prize pool: $2,790,500

4 – GangstaZab (Russia) – $94,715.25 (inc. $26,160.34)
5 – santaceia (Brazil) – $59,519.72 (inc. $11,410.11)

8 – PaolinoBR (Brazil) – $29,361.75 (inc. $12,734.84)

Low title heads to Bulgaria: The lower buy-in Main Event was won by “mayanfactor” of Bulgaria, who turned a $55 buy-in into $95,337.66, including $26,913.38 in bounty payments. Although three re-entries were permitted in the event, only one player in the final 12 needed a second bullet, with mayanfactor among those who kept their outgoings to the minimum. It meant that when he or she squared off against “tihonoff1” of Russia, each was already guaranteed an incredible ROI having seen off the vast majority of a 32,183 entry field. mayanfactor, who has had a couple of deep runs in ‘COOP events and been to the final table of the Sunday Warm-Up, proved too strong at the end. This is by some measure the biggest documented win of mayanfactor’s career.

OTHER BOUNTY BUILDER SERIES NEWS

Sebastian “p0cket00” Sikorski

Sikorski makes one stick: Ten other tournaments played out on Monday, all of which had previously been cancelled owing to a technical outage earlier in the series. The rescheduled events offered a last chance for some of the Series’ best players to finally get on the board — an opportunity seized in particular by Sebastian “p0cket00” Sikorski. The Canadian has two runner-up finishes to his name during this series, but finally made one stick in the rescheduled Event #117, a $109 buy-in hold’em tournament. Sikorski beat a field of 1,312 entries and banked $17,928.56, including $9,219.87 in bounties. Sikorski has more than $13.5 million in documented online poker earnings, including one SCOOP title and three Super Tuesdays.

Saenko adds to SCOOP haul: Aside from the Main Events, the other biggest winner on Monday night was Nikolay “bet121995” Saenko, whose victory in Event #119 was worth $41,799.18, including $20K in bounties. Saenko won a low buy-in SCOOP event earlier this year, and has previously been to the final table of a WCOOP-L Main Event, but this victory was the biggest of his career. It pushes his online tournament poker earnings close to $1 million, according to Pocket Fives.
