SCOOP AFTERPARTY

Super Tuesday kicks off serious Afterparty prizes: Before we get to the weekend, several midweek Afterparty events are well worth a mention. The 02-H Super Tuesday ran for half price and offered a prize pool of over $324k. “Manni1822” from Austria claimed the top spot. The player’s results are well hidden, but they had a third place finish in the WCOOP Super Tuesday in 2020 for $85k and we’ve seen them around in High Roller tourneys. Manni1822 earned $60,750 for first.

Julian Track parties on in Thursday Thrill: German player Julian “jutrack” Track had a successful SCOOP 2021, picking up their second career title in the 65-M, as well as locking up several final table scores. Not content to stop just yet, Track continued on in the Afterparty, taking down the $1,050 Afterparty Thursday Thrill for a total of $65,719 ($30k coming from knockouts). And the show isn’t over yet.

SCOOP Afterparty has over $27M guaranteed across 60 events

Event #25 on pause with $3M gtd: Of all the Afterparty events, the biggest so far has been Event #25, the special edition Mini Sunday Million, Sunday Million, and Sunday HR. Between them, these three tourneys paid out a total of over $3M. After a heads-up chop, “Machadada RS” from Brazil won the Mini Million for $73,222. No such deal occurred in the $215 Sunday Million. “Pelusanator” of Uruguay, who’s previous biggest win came recently – $15k in the $109 Bounty Builder – finished first to earn a massive $179,117. Rodrigo “peceli” Presutti picked up his biggest ever win in the Sunday HR, coming first fir $176,911.

Sunday top Afterparty scores: Sunday is always the busiest and most exciting day on PokerStars, and the Afterparty followed the pattern perfectly; “pitabread189” from Canada earned $21,372 for first place in the special edition Sunday Kickoff; Omaha specialist “Nlzkm9” from Hungary won the 24-H PLO event for $14,309; Brazilian player “Jeffin_DF” picked up one of the biggest scores of the evening, $43,818 (inc. bounties) for first in the 26-H; and “m3Dyyy” from Romania came first in the special edition Sunday Cooldown for $22,607.

HIGH ROLLER CLUB HIGHLIGHTS

Jonah Silverstein does it again: Last week, Jonah “RaiseUpBlind” Silverstein made headlines by winning two HRC events in one night – taking down both the Warm-Up and Supersonic. Although it’s not quite a double, Silverstein was back again this week with another noteworthy score, this time winning the HRC Sunday Warm-Up for $17,576. This is a player who is climbing up the rankings fast. We’re excited to see what 2021 brings for the Canadian pro.

Talbot takes down HRC tourney: Parker “tonkaaa” Talbot is one of the newest members of Team PS Pro and he seems to be settling in great. The Canadian poker pro and Twitch streamer won the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic for $24,518. It’s always a high variance tournament, but the Supersonic was by no means an easy ride for Talbot, who had to get past “BillLewinsky” (second) and Niklas “Lena900” Astedt to lock up the score.

And so does Sam Grafton: Another recent addition to PS Team Pro, Sam “SamSquid” Grafton from the UK has over $8.5M in online winnings and $4M in live winnings to his name. Grafton was also taking advantage of a rather quiet weekend in the High Roller Club. He took down the $1,050 Sunday Cooldown for $19,781, with nearly $12k of this coming from bounties.

Top ranked UK player wins Bounty Builder HR: One of the High Roller Club’s biggest weekly tourney, the Bounty Builder HR, has now reached its conclusion. At the time of the break, UK pro Luke “Bit2Easy” Reeves sat in second and top ranked Joao “Naza114” Vieira led the field. The picture changed on Day 2, with Vieira crashing in seventh and leaving the top spots up for grabs. “daltonhb” from Brazil came second for a total of $47,711, bringing their total online winnings over the $3M mark. “jareth3542”, currently ranked in the top 10 UK players on Pocketfives, came first for a total of $70,477.
