This week’s Platinum Passes
What is it like to win a Platinum Pass worth $30,000? And a seat in the PokerStars Players Championship in the Bahamas next January?

Gardner crowned London Series winner
Last weekend the London Series at the Hippodrome made an extraordinary promise.
The winner of the £250 Main Event would not only win the first prize (which amounted to more than £13,000), they would also win a Platinum Pass.
It was no wonder that the Hippodrome was full.
That winner, late on Sunday evening, was Gareth Gardner, whose reaction was not unlike the reaction of other Platinum Pass winners. A mixture of disbelief and joy.

Lester Edoc wins in Manila
Meanwhile on the other side of the world in Manila, Lester Edoc was doing the same.
Edoc thanked a few people after winning, including his boss, which might rank as a first.

After all it was his boss that gave him the time off to win the Platinum Pass, and who will be relied upon to grant the same next January when Edoc takes his seat in the PSCP.

Julian Perouse aiming high with Platinum Pass
Julien Perouse spoke to us this week about his Turbo Series Main Event win, which also came with a Platinum Pass.
Perouse, who won $396,000 in the event, is a man with big ambitions.
“My goal is to be the new Fedor Holz.”
Julien Perouse is on his way to the PokerStars Players Championship next January after winning more than $390,000 in the Turbo Series Main Event
Talking to him you get the impression he’s heading in the right direction. Not least with a seat in the PSPC next January.

James Ablott and the six-way chop
Six way ICM chops are not something you see every day on PokerStars, but it served as the prologue to James Ablott’s win in the Genting Series Main Event, and which ended with him collecting a Platinum Pass.
“Absolutely buzzing,” was his reaction to the win. We can’t blame him.

Bradley “Braddlz” Hill won a Turbo Series event, and when we spoke to him was still unable to believe he’d won it.
“It was a dream of mine to win a tournament as prestigious as this.”
