It was a hectic summer in the world of PokerStars, with WCOOP dominating the schedule for nearly four weeks, and several new arrivals to Team Pro. Prove how well you were paying attention with a bumper new poker quiz.


#1. Who won the WCOOP Player of the Series award, which came with a $25,000 cash prize and exclusive trophy?

It was the Super High Roller regular Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi, who won three WCOOP events and made several more final tables, earning the coveted Player of the Series award. Shakerchi’s success was one of our five WCOOP highlights.

#2. What did Dutch player "Fisherman FV" do during WCOOP that had not previously been achieved through the first 19 years of WCOOP?

#3. Sweden's “festen x” won the "medium" Main Event during WCOOP, and $549K. What is he doing that no previous champion has done before?

In an exclusive interview, “festen x” revealed that he intends to tell nobody about his win for an entire year, then surprise them on the anniversary of the success.

#4. Before the 2021 series, how many WCOOP titles had Chris "Moorman1" Moorman won?

As incredible as it sounds, Moorman — indisputably one of the best online tournament players of all time — had never won a title during WCOOP. However, he put it right this year.

#5. Two PokerStars Team Pros won WCOOP titles on the same night. Who were they?

It was the anglo-Canadian duo of tonkaaaa and Spraggy who hit the jackpot within a few hours of each other.

#6. PokerStars welcomed Brazilian pro Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes to Team Pro, but how was his ascension to the Red Spade ranks overshadowed?

Two WCOOP titles did end up at Moraes’s house during this series, but both were won by Lauriê “LaliTournier” Tournier–Moraes, Rafael’s wife.

It was the brilliant “bencb789”, who has mentored some of world poker’s very best and is now an ambassador for the Red Spade.

#8. Joe Stapleton played a key role in Paul Schrader's new critically-acclaimed film "The Card Counter". What was it?

Stapes was the poker consultant, which is how come the poker scenes in the film are actually realistic. He told us about his role in the film’s production.

PokerStars launched a new forum-type service where players can discuss PokerStars products and ask questions of each other, offering a way for players to be better informed about everything on and off the tables. Its tagline is "Ask Questions. Find Answers. Stay Up To Date. Help Others." What's it called?

#10. PokerStars announced two upcoming stops on the European Poker Tour, in Prague in December, and in Sochi next March. But where was the most recent EPT event held?

The pandemic forced the cancellation of many proposed EPT stops, but there was one last March in Sochi, where the Main Event was won by Artur Martirosyan. Read about the upcoming stops in Prague and Sochi.
