The Italian Poker Open has a new exclusive sponsor. PokerStars announced this week that it has signed on with the IPO to promote the massive Italian series and run online satellites to its events.

The Italian Poker Open kicked off back in 2011 and at first drew a little more than 300 entrants. Today it runs three times a year and draws fields in excess of 3,000 entries.

An hour from Milan, Casinò di Campione sits on the shores of Lugano Lake, a gorgeous setting for the poker series. It’s an easy place to get to from anywhere Germany, Austria, and France. What’s more, the buy-in is very affordable. For only €550, you can get a seat and play for up to €1,000,000 in prize money.

Here’s what the schedule looks like for next year.

• January 3-8: €600,000 guaranteed Main Event
• April 24-May 1: €1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event
• October 30-November 6: €1,000,000 Main Event.

David Curtis, Tour Manager, said, “We have such a great relationship with this venue. We can’t wait to get this series underway next year. The views are stunning. The fields are huge and make for some huge prize pools.”

Satellites for the Italian Poker Open are already running on PokerStars. Get your seat now.

What’s more…we’re going to have some pretty big announcements about this tour next month. You’re not going to want to miss those. Seriously. Stick around.
