Right now, all eyes are on San Remo, Italy where the European Poker Tour is hosting another gigantic event. And well they should be. Even in a depressed economy in which everything seems upside down, EPT San Remo managed to pull in more than 800 players. That’s quite a feat (and one about which you can read in our on-going EPT San Remo live coverage).
Meanwhile, however, the big action continued on PokerStars this weekend with another couple days of people winning life-changing money.
Nearly 3,400 people showed up to play in the Sunday Warm-Up. Up for grabs was a first prize worth more than $100,000. When it was all said and done, a three-way deal split up the big money. David Aydt has the whole story right here: Sunday Warm-Up: bigdogpckt5s bite bigger than bark, wins after three-way chop.
A few hours later, we saw the end of the Sunday Million. Nearly 6,600 people played. One walked away with $190,000 in first place money. Kristin Bihr has this full final table report: Spyver snares Sunday Million title, $190k
