Hey, you. You looking for some satellites? Maybe some, you know, qualifiers into some ridiculously big events? Step over here. We’ve got what you’re looking for.
If you’d blinked, you might have missed it just now, but without fanfare or pomp, a selection of satellites for the 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker popped up in the PokerStars tourney lobby today. That means from this moment forward, you can start working on getting your seat in any of the 138 total tourneys in the 46-event festival.
If you’re new to the game or haven’t been around the PokerStars scene very long, SCOOP is a festival of events with just about every kind of poker discipline you can imagine. Each of those events has three buy-in levels that allow everyone from the small-time grinders to the highest of rollers to compete for a coveted SCOOP title.
This year, PokerStars is guaranteeing $40 million in prize money, including a $4 million prize pool for the high buy-in Main Event. That’s the one that is going to pay the winner at least $1 million.
Right now, there is a limited amount of satellite offerings in the lobby, but they are your first chances to start playing for your SCOOP seats. Over the next several weeks you will see more and more chances to begin early work on your SCOOP title.
