“RuiNF” and “MITS 304” hit obscene doubles

What happens when you combine the Bounty Builder Series and High Roller Club into a weekend of high stakes poker madness? For many, the answer might be “go bust”.

Not so for multi-COOP winner Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira and Cypriot pro “MITS 304”, both of whom scored huge doubles this weekend.

Big weekend for Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira

Ferreira came first in the $2,100 Bounty Builder Series 161 event for $23,459. It seemed he knocked most of the opposition out along the way, earning himself an additional $35,406 in bounties.

The second big score for Ferreira was a second place finish in the $2,100 Sunday HR tournament for $25,994. He was denied first place by fellow COOP champ Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov, who won the heads-up to earn $37,966.

MITS 304 was also on fire, starting a hot run with a first-place victory in the $109 Bounty Builder Series Event #171 for $33,906, also earning $19,910 in bounties.

MITS 304 followed this up with a huge win in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up, cutting a deal with “anteen” heads-up and then taking first place for $25,966.

But that wasn’t all for MITS 304. He also hit another major final table, coming fifth place in the BBS 177 event for $15,518 and another $10,281 in knockouts. We’re not sure whether to call it a double or a triple?

Either way, an unbelievable weekend for both players!

Bounty Builder Series

It wasn’t just Ferreira and MITS 304 who crushed the competition in the Bounty Builder Series.

Super-reg “B4NKR0LL3R” continued his mean streak, picking up their third major in a fortnight. Just two weeks ago, B4NKR0LL3R took a huge double in the form of the Sunday Million and Sunday Warm-up.

B4NKR0LL3R took down one of the biggest Bounty Builder Series tournaments of the weekend, Event #177, earning  $41,249 for first place, plus an incredible $60,796 in bounties. Conor1_conor_b_1″ Beresford finished second at the end of an extremely tough final table.

BBS Main Event gathering momentum

The Bounty Builder Series Main Event is currently on break, with all to play for when the tournament resumes.

With a total of 5,976 entries, the prize pool has reached an epic $2.988 million. That’s $180,665 for first place and loads of potential for big bounties.

There were 398 players left at the interval. “kotuhorosko” stands in first place, but there’s not much between players in terms of chips. German player “TRICKITZI” has already earned over $3k in knockouts, but again the bigger bounties will be on offer after the break.

Good luck to all survivors and warriors still left in the Main Event!

Sunday major highlights

Despite fierce competition from the Bounty Builder Series, the Sunday Million reached its million dollar guarantee. Was the field softer with the high rollers spread elsewhere?

That’s up for debate and takes nothing away from eventual winner “lo-fi dream”, whose dreams may have just reached a higher definition. After making good use of a re-entry, lo-fi dream picked up his or her biggest win ever of $108,822.

Second place “n1ksis” and third place “Eduardo850” also had re-entries, which they definitely won’t be regretting after taking $78,965 and $57,305, respectively.

Top rated pro and high rolling regular Simon “C.Darwin2” Mattsson from Sweden proved his skills in the NLO8 version of the event, coming first for $4,283, though this could well be considered pocket money.

High Roller Club

The High Roller Club continued to provide action that makes normal hearts palpitate. These players can hack it, we’re sure!

Aside from those mentioned involving RuiNF and MITS 304, “T-Macha” earned $20,010 in the Daily Warm-Up on Saturday while multi-COOP champion Patrick “pads1161” Leonard from the UK took $20,295 in the new HR Sunday Marathon.
