Another SCOOP event is in the record books and this time the title is heading to the Netherlands. A proud poker nation, they will be toasting Dribbelkip this evening in Amsterdam as he overcame a massive field, and a large chip deficit three-handed, to turn $7.50 into five figures of glory!
It was Event #22-L of the 2015 SCOOP — a $7.50 No Limit Holdem Six-Max Event with the unique twist of an ultra-deep start stack and variable level durations. That might sound confusing, but 13,560 people liked what they saw as they jumped into the action to create a prize pool of $92.479.20, which was almost double the advertised guarantee.
The top 1,800 players would be guaranteed a profit, but it was the top prize of $12,678.12 that they were aiming for — not a bad return for a $7.50 investment!
Only one Team PokerStars Pro would make the money in this one, with Japanese star Kosei Ichinose busting out in 1,727th place for a min-cash of $12.02.
It would take over eleven and a half hours of play before the final table of six would form. It would be M@gic_master who bubbled the final table with K♥ 8♥ failing to improve against the A♠7♣ of MaximumBalls as the final table looked as follows:

The final table would commence at Level 57 which meant the blinds were 1M/2M/250k, with the levels out to 20 minutes in length.
Ivan13100 won a nice early pot with the nut flush, before Ördöghal18 did likewise. Ördöghal18 had to do it the hard way, rivering a fourth diamond holding king-queen against the dominant ace-queen of Dribbelkip.
The third short stack of the final table was sreNshaw but there would be no double up for the player from Costa Rica. sreNshaw moved all in from early position with A♣ J♦ before slinkyshop re-raised to isolate with A♥ Q♠. The table folded and the board ran out 3♦ 9♣ 7♥ 4♣ 10♣ . There would be no help for sreNshaw who became the first final table elimination, picking up $1,118.07 for sixth place.
Dribbelkip and MaximumBalls were still well out in front but Dribbelkip would take a couple of hits from the short stacks. Ivan13100 secured a double up with pocket tens against the pocket sevens of Dribbelkip before Ördöghal18 joined in with a hefty double holding pocket kings against Dribbelkip’s ace-jack.
Canada’s slinkyshop would be the next to fall after raising and then calling all in with A♦ Qâ™ . MaximumBalls had three-bet shoved from the big blind with K♣ 10♥ and the aggressive approach paid off on the board of 9â™ 4♣ K♥ 9♣ 10â™ . Two pair for MaximumBalls would send slinkyshop to the rail in fifth place for a $1,849.58 collect.
MaximumBalls had a huge chip lead, but Dribbelkip took a chunk of change with pocket jacks landing a double up through MaximumBalls’ pocket tens.
Ivan13100 didn’t have the same good fortune. With a raise from Dribbelkip and a shove from MaximumBalls in front, Ivan13100 committed all in with A♦ Q♦ from the big blind. Dribbelkip got out of the way and MaximumBalls tabled A♥ J♦ . The flop was a safe A♣ 7♥ 10♣ and the 9♦ changed nothing, but the Jâ™ appeared on the river to pair the kicker of MaximumBalls and leave Ivan13100 on the rail. Ivan13100 took home $3,236.77 for fourth place.
A flush over flush would see Ördöghal18 land a double up, before Dribbelkip also made a flush to double through the chip leader MaximumBalls.
The flushes would continue and when Dribbelkip flopped a heart flush against MaximumBalls and extracted three streets of value we had ourselves a new chip leader.
Dribbelkip continued to surge, kicking up the aggression on the two opponents and in the end MaximumBalls just couldn’t turn around the momentum swing. In a relative cooler three-handed, MaximumBalls moved all in preflop with A♣ Q♥ but ran into the Qâ™ Q♣ of Dribbelkip. The board bricked out 8♣ J♥ 4♣ 3♦ 9â™ and MaximumBalls was on the rail in third place for $6,011.14.

Dribbelkip entered heads-up with a huge chip lead over Ördöghal18 and although the Hungarian was able to land two double ups, it was the Dutchman Dribbelkip who finished the job.
The final hand would see Dribbelkip open with a raise before Ördöghal18 moved all in. Dribbelkip made the call with Kâ™ 3♣ for live cards against Ördöghal18’s A♥ 7â™ . It took until the river on a board of 5â™ Jâ™ 6♦ 9â™ 2â™ for four spades to appear, and with the king of spades in hand, it was yet another flush that gave Dribbelkip the victory!
A nice run by Ördöghal18 ended in second place for $8,785.52 as Dribbelkip would take home the SCOOP watch, the title and $12,678.12 in prize money. Congratulations!
