KidPokerSLO managed to tame the sugar high and outlasted everyone to win the watch and $8,914.71.

Only 15 of the 4,117 starters would return for day two but only one could walk away with the SCOOP champion’s Modavo watch.

Passat1111 would end day one as the chip leader. The Greek player has COOP final table experience having chopped WCOOP 2013 Event #4 (also a PLO tournament). Until the last level of the night, all players looked way up at dominate chip leader ErikJensen18 who slipped to third behind KidPokerSLO a two-time MicroMillions champ.

Finshing up the first weekend of SCOOP 2015, Player of the Series-Low leader, rtspurs, on the back of eight cashes including third place in Event #13 would not cash here. Second place Stroynowski whiffed but third place JagaForever managed to sneak in for a min-cash placing 538th ($24.54) out of 540 paying spots. With a PCA 2016 Package, $10K in cash, and SCOOP trophy in the balance, players of all bankrolls are playing as much as possible as Player of the Series Overall leader Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier took a shot here as well coming up just short in 759th place.

Day two would start quickly as five players Elpihl (Sweden), Richhhi86 (Ukraine), Neptune04 (United Kingdom), neilcaterham (United Kingdom), and Zlushchiy (Russia) would exit before the first hourly break.

It did not take long for the gamblers to whittle the population of the tournament down to seven as the blinds started dictating more pre-flop play to stay alive. With the blinds up to 150K/300K day one chip leader passat1111 shoved from the small bind as Aus-Fin called holding 6♦ A♠ J♥ 5♣ 3♣ . Passat1111’s 3♥ 10♥ K♥ 3♦ Q♦ would turn two pair but Aus-Fin found a rivered broadway straight Q♣ 8♦ A♥ K♦ 10♠ to start up the final table below:

While Aus-Fin was the one to open up the final table, the Aussie was also the first one out. Just ten hands into the final table Aus-Fin would get into a raising war with marodon ending all-in with 4.6 million chips in the middle. Aus-Fin turned up pocket kings K♠ K♣ 9♦ Q♣ 3♥ going up against marodon’s aces A♦ 9♣ A♣ 8♥ J♦ . The aces would hold on the 7♣ J♠ 10♥ 2♠ 5♠ board ending Aus-Fin’s tournament in sixth place ($1,005.17).

Unable to slither away

LandWurm was unable to gain any traction after coming to the final table with a shorter stack. With the blinds up to 150K/300K LandWurm would toss the remaining 1.49 million into the middle facing off against bombay-lad’s 10♣ 6♣ 9♥ K♦ J♦ . LandWurm’s double suited 8♥ 3♦ Q♦ J♥ K♥ managed to miss the entire 6♠ A♠ 4♥ 9♣ 10♠ board finishing in fifth place ($1,753.21).

Toward the end of the second hour of play marodon was down to a little more than 10 big blinds and tried to skim some chips off bombay-lad with a three-bet preflop. Unfortunately, bombay-lad four-bet with aces A♣ 8♠ 4♥ 2♥ A♠ as marodon called all-in with queens and a small wrap 3♦ Q♠ J♦ Q♥ K♠ . The low board 5♦ 5♣ 7♦ 9♥ 3♠ meant the held pairs played and marodon earned $3,068.13 in fourth place.

The other KidPoker

No, this is not Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu but rather KidPokerSLO trying to knockout ErikJensen18 from the tournament. Five minutes after marodon’s departure ErikJensen18 would be all-in preflop 2♣ 3♦ Q♠ A♠ K♠ hoping for really high or low cards versus KidPokerSLO’s jacks and mid-range holdings J♥ J♠ 8♦ Q♦ 10♣ . The middle of the deck hit the 8♣ 10♥ 7♣ 5♣ 7♦ board as ErikJensen18 hit the road in third place ($4,733.68).

KidPokerSLO vs. bombay-lad

Normally the lower buy-in tournaments tends to end fairly quickly once they reach heads-up play due to the faster blinds. However, KidPokerSLO and bombay-lad managed to square off for the Event #21-L title for almost an hour with the lead changing several times thanks to the gamble that the fifth dealt card added.

With the blinds up to 500K/1MM KidPokerSLO leading 31.5 million to bombay-lad’s 11.3 million KidPokerSLO would raise to three million as bombay-lad called from the big blind. The 7♦ K♣ 6♣ flop got them both excited enough to toss 22.6 million total into the middle. KidPokerSLO flopped top set K♦ K♠ 7♠ A♥ 4♥ but would need to fade bombay-lad’s straight draw Q♦ 8♠ K♥ Q♠ 5♥ . No straight on the 3♦ turn nor 8♣ river and KidPokerSLO would claim the SCOOP 2015 Event #21-L title and $8,914.71!
