You can run, but you can’t hide. That’s the beauty and simplicity of 4-max tournaments. You can’t sit back and cruise to the final table while everyone else cannibalizes themselves. In a 4-max setting, you’re constantly in the thick of the action. Early on Day 2 in Event #20-L, Hungary’s feketelyuk73 seized the lead and looked like an unstoppable runaway freight train as feketelyuk73 steamrolled everyone in sight. By the time the final table began, LeslieGroves’s stack mushroomed into a formidable weapon of mass destruction. LeslieGroves was second in chips and on an inevitable collision course with feketelyuk73. With four to go, LeslieGroves seized the lead and never looked back. With two to go, LeslieGroves wiped out feketelyuk73 in only 26 hands en route to a triumphant victory Event #20-L.
2015 SCOOP Event #20-L $27 NL (4-Max) attracted 7,568 runners for this two-day affair. They created a prize pool worth $185,794.40. Only the top 1,000 places paid out with $19,662.82 set aside for the eventual champ.
At the end of Day 1, only 17 players survived the cut. DonDiemon (Belarus) ended Day 1 as the chip leader with 5.1M. Right behind in second was 878685 (Russia) with 4.9M.
Even though this was a 4-max event, the final table was seated with five players, therefore action went hand-for-hand with six players remaining on two three-handed tables. Chip leader feketelyuk73 was way out in front with over 15M.
With six to go, LeslieGroves raced DonDiemon with 6♣6♦ versus A♥10♣. The board finished up 3♥3♣2♦K♦3♦. LeslieGroves’s pocket sixes held up. DonDiemon never improved and bubbled off the final table in sixth place.

The final table commenced during Level 45 with blinds at 80K/160K and a 20K ante. Hungary’s feketelyuk73 led the pack with 16.3M and China’s bbn0627 clung to the short stack with 1.4M.
bbn0627 eliminated in 5th place
11 hands. That’s how long it took before we saw the first exit. Short-stacked bbn0627 attempted a final stand by shoving all-in for 554,962 with K♥10♥, but feketelyuk73 accepted the challenge and insta-called with 7♦7♠. Coin flip. The flop was J♠7♣6♥ and feketelyuk73 improved to a set of sevens. The turn was the A♠ and bbn0627 picked up a Broadway straight draw. The 2♠ fell on the river, which did not help bbn0627 and feketelyuk73’s set of sevens held up. feketelyuk73 dragged the pot and chipped up to 18M. China’s bbn0627 became the first player to bust at the final table. Fifth place paid out $2,695.87.
rafa_sb11 eliminated in 4th place
On the 21st hand at the final table, we saw a second bustout. Another shorty bit the dust. feketelyuk73 opened to 450,000, LeslieGroves called, rafa_sb11 bombed it all-in for 2,643,479, feketelyuk73 called, and LeslieGroves called. Three-way. The flop was 8♣7♥6♦. LeslieGroves checked, feketelyuk73 fired out 2.8M, and LeslieGroves called. The turn was the 3♥ and both players checked. The river was the 10♦ and both players checked. At showdown, LeslieGroves tabled 9♦9♠ and dragged the main pot and side pot after rivering a ten-high straight. Both feketelyuk73 and rafa_sb11 mucked their losing hands. For a fourth-place finish, rafa_sb11 collected $4,258.40.
With three to go, LeslieGroves was the new chip leader with 21.8M, followed by feketelyuk73’s 11.6M, and Running Goot’s 4.2M.
Running Goot eliminated in 3rd place
Running Goot opened to 535,215, LeslieGroves shoved for 21,670,034 with A♦6♦, and Running Goot called all-in for 4,435,132 with K♠J♥. Neither player improved when the board finished up 10♦5♣3♠Q♣7♦. Running Goot picked up an open-ended straight draw on the turn, but whiffed on the river. LeslieGroves won the pot with Ace-high. Running Goot went busto in third place, which paid out $6,896.68.

With two to go, LeslieGroves held an edge that was 2.5-1 and they quickly discussed a money chop.
Any deal had to leave $2,000 on the table to the eventual winner. The numbers were floated: LeslieGroves ($15,990.53) and feketelyuk73 ($13,572.42). Both players agreed on those terms, so play resumed.

Heads-up lasted 26 hands and feketelyuk73 was never able to get anything going. feketelyuk73 was in deep trouble after losing a 14.5M pot on Hand #24. LeslieGroves rivered a six-high straight with K♠3♦ and chipped up to 35M. LeslieGroves finally finished off feketelyuk73 two hands later.
On the final hand… LeslieGroves open shoved for 34,891,006 with A♣8♣ and feketelyuk73 called all-in for 2,573,994 with 3♣3♥. Coin flip. The flop was 8♠6♣2♣ and LeslieGroves took the lead with a pair of eights. The turn was the 2♦ and the river was the 2♥. Both players had a full house, but LeslieGroves held the bigger boar. feketelyuk73 lost with deuces full of treys versus deuces full of eights. feketelyuk73 was bounced in second place, and LeslieGroves shipped the tournament.
For a runner-up finish, Hungary’s feketelyuk73 took home $13,572.42.
