2. The headlines
Before we get to today’s featured events, OLD TIME GIN has joined the double winner club. This used to be an exclusive club, but with membership now up to ten, it’s a bit less so. Not that the membership committee will mind all that much.
Here’s the full membership list. They should have jackets.

There were four events overnight that boasted prize pools more than $1 million.
Pauly McGuire reported on daBuStar’s win in SCOOP 1-M, which includes what I *think* is a reference to the movie Wall Street in the headline. You can see for yourself here.
McGuire was also on call for SCOOP 1-H, won by Maestro_Bolt. The Russian collected $345,726 for first place, which you can read about here.
McGuire somehow managed to be around to write about SCOOP 57-H as well. This one was won by Vlad “dariepoker” Darie, which made it a good day for Romania. First prize was worth $240,039 and came against some tough opposition. Read how tough here.
Okay, we don’t know how he did it either, but McGuire went 4-for-4, writing up SCOOP 61-H, won by Francisco “Tomatee” Benitez. The Uruguayan defeated the likes of Talal Shakerchi, Shawn Buchanan, and Charlie Carrel on his way to a first prize of $128,217 with another $78,000 of bounties on top. McGuire wrote this one on his way to bed. He’ll sleep better knowing you read it here.
