The All Stakes Spring Championship of online poker offers every bankroll an opportunity to play for big money and a SCOOP title. Sunday was a big day, though, and even the low buy-in for Event #7 was $109. That meant the 2,674 runners who saddled up for eleven hours of HORSE action were playing for a whopping $267,400 prize pool and a $43,000 first prize.

Even at the low buy-in, the screen names at the final table were the kind you’d expect to see in a big championship. Here’s how the table looked at the start of eight-handed play.

Seat 1: mysterio6044 (2240135 in chips)
Seat 2: tyguns (802756 in chips)
Seat 3: 011180 (2175967 in chips)
Seat 4: DUSTY 357 (1848468 in chips)
Seat 5: bdubs3737 (635133 in chips)
Seat 6: Tlick777 (1319030 in chips)
Seat 7: ROONEY_DIVES (2532819 in chips)
Seat 8: tomacampi (1815692 in chips)

With the levels sitting at 100,000/200,000 in the O8 rotation, there was little room for error and even a smaller margin for bad luck. Just ask tyguns. He only had 253,000 to start the hand and got it all in with Tick777 before the flop. Tyguns showed Kâ™  6♣ K♥ A♥ , and was not looking bad against Tick777’s A♦ 7â™  5â™  K♣ . But what do tick’s do? They suck, and suck, and suck. The board ran out 6♦ 3♦ Jâ™  8♥ 4♥ to give Tick777 the straight and the low. Tyguns finished in eighth place for $2,406.61.

When the Razz round came around, it was pretty clear some stacks were going to get in. The dealer made it even easier. It started when bdubs3737 came in for a raise with a 2â™  showing. ROONEY_DIVES held the 4♣ and re-raised and got a call from 011180. Within a couple seconds, the betting was capped and bdubs3737 was all-in. 011180 picked up the Aâ™  on fourth street. ROONEY_DIVES paired with the 4♥ but called anyway. When 011180 made 4â™  Aâ™  5â™  on fifth street and ROONEY_DIVES pulled the 9♣ , ROONEY_DIVES gave up. That left 011180 up against the all-in bdubs3737, who couldn’t make better than a nine-high by the river. 011180 held a six-high for the win and to send bdubs3737 out in seventh place for $4,011.01

ROONEY_DIVES was crippled in the hand and got his chips in just a minute later. He couldn’t make better than a queen-high, not good enough to beat Tick777’s ten-high. ROONEY_DIVES, a one-time member of the PokerStars World Cup of Poker’s Team Ireland, finished in sixth placing, earning $8,022.01.

We made it back around to the limit hold’em round before we saw another exit. When mysterio6044 came in for a raise, Tlick777 re-raised and mysterio6044 called. When the flop came down 7♦ 6â™  3♥ , Tick777 bet out, mysterio6044 raised him, and Tick777 put in one more raise to be all-in. Tick777 held the best hand pre-flop, A♥ K♦ , but it wasn’t good against mysterio6044’s A♣ 3♣ . Tick777 couldn’t catch and went out in fifth place for $13,370.01.

Just a minute later, mysterio6044 came in for a raise and DUSTY 357 called. The flop came down 4♦ 7♥ 6♦ and kicked of a flurry of check-raises and re-raises that eventually put DUSTY 357 all-in. DUSTY 357 held 5â™  6â™  to mysterio604’s 5♦ A♥ . DUSTY 357 looked good until the A♣ fell on the river. For fourth place, DUSTY 357 picked up a healthy $18,718.01.

Three-handed, the chip counts looked like this:

Seat 1: mysterio6044 (2453948 in chips)
Seat 3: 011180 (2289360 in chips)
Seat 8: tomacampi (8626692 in chips)

After just a few hands, mysterio6044 was down to fewer than a million chips. He ended up getting all-in with 10♥ 7â™  against tomacampi’s 8♣ K♣ . Neither player paired and mysterio6044’s third place finish paid him $24,066.01

Chip leader tomacampi had 011180 10-1 in chips. With the level at 160,000/320,000, 011180 was going to have to get lucky a couple of times. When the O8 round came back around, 011180 got to gambling. He completed pre-flop and tomacampi checked behind. On a flop of 6♥ Kâ™  K♥ . tomacampu bet out and 011180 called. The turn brought the 4♥ . Tomacampi bet out, 011180 raised, tomacampi raised again and 011180 called all-in. The river brought the 8♥ . 011180’s only held 7♦ 7♥ J♦ 10♦ , not at all good against 5â™  5♥ 3♥ for the heart flush and eight low. 011180 finished in second place for $30,938.18.

That left only one horse in the pasture. Hungary’s tomacampi picked up $43,452.51 for the SCOOP Event #7 low title.
