Yes, the Sunday Majors are still going on despite players flocking to the eighth MicroMillions series this weekend. If someone needs proof that the low-stakes tournament series has not drawn too many people from tonight’s Sunday Warm-Up, bentbjarne has $88,799.37 reasons sitting in the Dane’s bankroll after outlasting 2,818 players and defeating pokerroon heads-up for the title.
20 minutes past the eighth hour of play and 18 players left with the blinds up to 25K/50K ante 5K 2012 TCOOP Event #11 champ Cejakas14 would break in the newly formed table. A shortstacked torowe would try to shove J♣ Q♣ and 477,042 chips from middle position but Cejakas14 was waiting in the small blind with pocket to the rail after pocket kings safely sailed by torowe’s suited Queen-Jack collecting a one million chip pot and coming one step closer to adding a Sunday Major title.
That next step proved to be a perilous one for Cejakas14 as the blinds moved up to 30K/60K ante 6K and MOR€ PL€A$€ min-raised from the button. Cejakas14 shoved all-in for 1.15 million from the small blind holding A♦ J♦ . But, the betting did not stop there as OTT CANADA also shoved from the big blind for 1.47 million. MOR€ PL€A$€ wanted less and folded as OTT CANADA turned over two queens Q♠Q♣ and the other two queens in the deck showed up on the Q♦ 3♥ 5♦ Q♥ 4♠board to knockout Cejakas14 in 17th place ($1,832.35).
Just 13 minutes later addingking would be ushered off the stage by papan9_p$ in 12th place ($3,523.75) as OTT CANADA was looking to make a return trip to the Sunday Warm-Up final table a little more successful than the previous ninth place finish. The same 11 players would head into the ninth hourly break with MOR€ PL€A$€ holding the chip with just over five million and blinds at 40K/80K ante 8K.
A flopped two pair for shiiiken also meant a set for 2pacnrw16 as the Swede took away $3,523.75 in 11th place as hand-for-hand play took all of one deal to set up the final table. With the blinds at 50K/100K ante 10K 2pacnrw16 would min-raise from the button as tua133 shoved for 1.51 million holding 7♦ A♣ . Unfortunately, pokerroon was in the big blind with aces A♦ A♠and re-shoved for a little more. 2pacnrw16 took the hint and folded as the 9♠2♠4♥ 4♣ 4♦ board set up the final table below:

Back-to-back early eliminations
Just four minutes into the final table with the blinds at 50K/100K ante 10K the chip leader MOR€ PL€A$€ would raise to 222,000 as another 2012 TCOOP champ, WorDn decided to shove for 1.7 million. MOR€ PL€A$€ saw more Euro signs and quickly called with pocket aces A♣ A♠. WorDn, who took away $100K for the Event #34 victory turned up A♥ J♣ which got four outs on the river to split 10♥ 3♦ 2♠5♣ K♦ but missed while taking away $4,792.30 in ninth place.
On the next hand OTT CANADA would raise to 204,999 as pokerroon made the call on the button to see a 3♦ 4♦ 2♥ flop. pokerroon would call OTT CANADA’s 400,000 chip bet as the turned 9♦ got OTT CANADA to shove for 1.39 million. pokerroon’s flopped set of fours 4♣ 4â™ was good enough to make the call, knocking down OTT CANADA’s overpair of jacks Jâ™ J♣ . No jack on the river K♦ sent OTT CANADA off with $7.622.57 in eighth place.
Not the Russian’s dei
Another former TCOOP final tablist, Asmodei10 who chopped up Event #10 this year for $24K was back with a chance to best that finish tonight. With the blinds moving up to 65K/130K ante 13K action would fold around to Asmodei10 on the button with 1.35 million and K♠Q♥ . Asmodei10 shoved as Lagrecasso patiently waited to hit the call button from the big blind holding pocket kings K♣ K♦ . The 2♦ 7♦ J♦ 9♥ 8♠board was absent of bad beat material and Asmodei10 earned $13,249.30 in seventh place.
Moving right along
Seven hands later, pokerroon, who does not have a TCOOP final table to our knowledge, may have a Sunday Warm-Up title after the night is done thanks to this hand. pokerroon would raise to 390,000 as papan9_p$ three-bet to 780,000 from the big blind as pokerroon made the call. 10♦ 9♣ 4♥ on the flop got papan9_p$ leading for 766,350 as pokerroon raised to 1.53 million. Holding just 204,896 more than the raise, papan9_p$ went all-in and pokerroon made the call with middle pair A♣ 9♥ . papan9_p$ held an overpair of kings K♦ K♣ , until the turned A♥ would ship the 5.1 million pot to pokerroon and $18,887.30 to papan9_p$ in sixth place.
Another expedient exit
Two hands after papan9_p$ took to the rail a flip would decide the fate of our fifth place finisher. Lagrecasso would raise from the cutoff for 280,000 as 2pacnrw16 three-bet to 628,125. After the blinds folded, Lagrecasso shoved for 5.44 million holding pocket sixes 6♣ 6♦ . 2pacnrw16 called all-in with big slick K♠A♦ and the race was on. Despite finding four more outs on the flop Q♦ 5♥ 10♥ 2♥ 3♣ , no ace no face meant 2pacnrw16 was out in fifth place ($24,525.30).
More gets bent
With the blinds moving up to 80K/160K ante 16K chop talks became more prevalent in the chat box but nothing materialized quick enough for a four-handed split. bentbjarne would lead for a min-raise as MOR€ PL€A$€ shoved 3.57 million from the big blind holding pocket threes 3♣ 3♦ . The threes were not pleased to see bentbjarne’s pocket tens 10â™ 10♥ as the 6♦ A♣ 7â™ 8♣ 2â™ board gave MOR€ PL€A$€ plenty of cash in fourth place ($32,418.50).
Wanting a higher payout
A player is always taking a financial risk to say no to guaranteed money during chop discussions. With a recent Sunday Million score for $79K, the Brazilian definitely wanted more. Unfortuantely for Lagrecasso, tonight’s decision cost almost $20K. With the blinds up to 125K/250K ante 25K Lagrecasso would shove 3.79 million from the small blind with 5♣ 8♣ . But, the former chip leader during the chop talks would get looked up by bentbjarne’s Q♣ A♥ as both players got a piece of the Kâ™ 5â™ Q♥ 10♥ 9♣ board. bentbjarne’s pair of queens outranked Lagrecasso’s fives as the latter took home $47,359.20 in third place.
No time to chat
Only two minutes of heads-up play for the 450 people watching the table from the rail and $22K separating first and second seemed fairly fast. bentbjarne refused to let go of the 17.1 million to 11 million chip lead and ended up a Sunday Major title holder. Still in the 125K/250K ante 25K blind level with bentbjarne now holding a 20.4 million to 7.6 million chip lead bentbjarne would min-raise from the button. Needing a double-up to stay alive, pokerroon shoved for 7.6 million holding K♣ J♣ . bentbjarne was willing to flip with pocket sixes 6♣ 6â™ as the 5â™ A♥ 10♦ 3♣ 8♥ board only provided a sweat as bentbjarne collected $88,799.37 as this week’s Sunday Warm-Up champion!
