Who wouldn’t be excited to turn $109 into over $20,000 in two hours? That’s the beauty of TCOOP and this evening,1,326 players took advantage of the opportunity for a little hyper-speed Omaha Hi/Lo. Event #43’s prize pool topped out at $141,683.10, nearly double the $75k guarantee. 168 places were paid with first place set to earn $23,732.68. Seven member of Team Pro and Team Online joined the field, including Marcin Horecki, Nacho Barbero, Marcel Luske, Henrique Pinho, George Danzer, Martin Hruby, and Mickey “mement_mori” Petersen. However, none of them finished in the money.

Blinds were up to 50,000/100,000 with seven players remaining and the average stack was only 9.5 big blinds. Lena900 open-shoved for 802,235 on the button, onmybicycle called all-in for 253,534 from the small blind and D3Z0LUTI0N called from the big blind, having both players covered.

onmybicycle A♦ 10♣ 10♠ K♦
D3Z0LUTI0N A♥ 2♥ 3♥ 7♠
Lena900 K♠ J♣ 4♥ 2♠

D3Z0LUTI0N hit top pair and the nut low draw on the A♣ 9♣ 7♦ flop but was in kicker trouble vs.onmybicycle for the high. Both players made aces and nines when the 9♥ turned, and the river was the Q♥ eliminating any low possibilities. Onmybicycle won the 970,602 main pot with aces and nines with a king kicker, D3Z0LUTI0N picked up the 997,402 side pot with aces and nines with a seven kicker, and Lena900 was eliminated on the final table bubble.

kotik363 KOs docbaby

Docbaby arrived at the final table with less than 2.5 big blinds and although he scored a double-up through big stack kotik363, it wasn’t enough to take him out of the danger zone. A few hands later, docbaby moved all-in for 531,144 from UTG+1 and kotik363 reshoved for 2.16 million on the button.

docbaby A♥ 4♥ 8♥ 9♠
kotik363 A♠ 2♦ 4♦ 10♠

Both players missed the K♣ Q♦ 6♣ flop, but kotik363 turned a pair of tens when the 10♣ fell. The river was the 8♦ 5♦ 6♣ 7♣ . Kotik363 turned over 2♦ 3♣ 6♦ 6â™  and hit trips when the flop came down A♣ 3♦ 3â™  . Onmybicycle didn’t improve on the Kâ™  turn or the 10â™  river and went out in fifth place ($5,979.02).

With that second knockout, the chip counts grew even more lopsided. Kotik363 held over 4.5 million in chips, his three opponents all bunched between 465k and 915k in chips. However, bcin2004 emerged from the pack when D3Z0LUTI0N open-shoved from the small blind with 2♥ 3♦ 5♦ 8♥ and he called from the big with A♥ 7♥ Q♥ K♠ . Bcin2004 rivered a Broadway straight on the Q♠ 10♦ 6♠ 4♥ J♥ board and send D3Z0LUTI0N to the rail in fourth place ($9,138.55).

ICM, party of three

Bcin2004 moved up to 1.7 million in chips, but doubled up Boby Boom on the next hand to even their counts. The blinds up to a stratospheric 100,000/200,000, the final three decided to pause the action and take a shot at making a deal. Here’s a look at how they stacked up at the time:

kotik363 – 4,118,126
Boby Boom 1,282,256
bcin2004 – 1,229,618

Final table host Felix “xclixx” Schneiders presented the trio with ICM numbers and they quickly agreed to them. With $1,500 and the title still up for grabs, cards went back in the air.

bcin2004 falls in third

Almost immediately, bcin2004 open-shoved for 1.28 million from the small blind and kotik363 looked him up from the big.

bcin2004 Q♥ 5♠ 4♥ 2♠
kotik363 A♥ 4♦ 9♦ J♥

Bcin2004 hit a pair of queens on the flop and turned queens up on the K♥ Q♦ 6♣ 6♠ 2♣ board, doubling his stack to 2.72 million.

Kotik363 fell to 1.83 million but quickly rebounded to 2.91 million. With the blinds up to 125,000/250,000, he open-shoved for 2.86 million on the button and bcin2004 called all-in from the big blind.

bcin2004 A♦ 8♣ 9♦ Q♠

Although bcin2004 flopped bottom two pair, kotik363 turned a low and rivered an eight-high straight on the Kâ™  9â™  8â™  7♣ 6♣ board to end bcin2004’s run in third place. Thanks to the deal, he took home $16,535.32 for his finish.

Heads-up chip counts

Seat 1: kotik363 (5,232,744 in chips)
Seat 2: Boby Boom (1,397,256 in chips)

On the third hand of heads-up play, Boby Book open-shoved for 872,000 on the button and kotik363 called with A♥ 2♥ 2♣ Q♥ . However, Boby Boom’s 4♣ 6♦ 9♥ J♣ made a flush for high and a 6-5 low on the A♣ 7♥ 3♣ 5♦ K♣ board, doubling his stack to 1.84 million.

Three hands later, Boby Boom doubled again when his A♦ 4♣ 8♥ 10♣ turned two pair and kotik363’s A♣ 2♣ J♦ Q♣ did not improve on the K♦ 4♦ 3â™  3♣ 9♥ board. For the first time at the final table, someone other than kotik363 held the chip lead as Boby Boom moved up to 3.62 million.

After a few trades of the blinds, kotik363 worked his way back out to a narrow lead. Holding 3.04 million to kotik363’s 3.58 million, Boby Boom found A♥ 4♥ 4♣ 9♣ and open-shoved on the button. Kotik363 called with 3♦ 3â™  4â™  5♥ . Boby Boom made trip nines on the flop, the board running out J♥ 9♥ 9â™  6♣ 5♣ . While Boby Boom doubled to 6.09 million, kotik363 was crippled to less than 600,000.

Boby Boom closed out the win when he scooped with a six-high straight on the next deal:
