Pot Limit Omaha is already described as an action game, but when you make it four-handed and a turbo structure, then it truly becomes one of the most entertaining forms of poker you’ll ever see.

That’s exactly what we got in Event #35 of the Turbo Championships of Online Poker (TCOOP) where a field of 2,074 players came together for the $82 Pot Limit Omaha 4-Max Turbo Event. They produced a prize pool of $155,550 that easily surpassed the advertised guarantee.

Team PokerStars Pros Nacho Barbero, Theo Jorgensen, Vivian Im, Jonathan Duhamel, George Danzer, Roy Bhasin, George Lind, Mickey Petersen, Marcel Luske and Johnny Lodden were all in the field but eliminated short of the cash for the top 260 players.

Also missing the money was Sweden’s mezzias who had the dubious distinction of the bubble in 261st place as the remaining players locked up at least $166.43 for the efforts.

It would only take a little over three and a half hours to reach the final table of five, following the elimination of ihsan89 in 6th place, the final table was set.

Final Table Line Up
Seat 1: Mr.Buster (2,062,691 in chips)
Seat 2: rtspurs (1,484,475 in chips)
Seat 3: bestM4N (1,315,451 in chips)
Seat 4: Fred_Brink (1,800,306 in chips)
Seat 5: 11_KING_11 (3,707,077 in chips)

Mr.Buster landed an early double up through Fred_Brink, cracking aces with a flopped two pair that ended with a full house. It left Fred_Brink on the short stack, and soon after was all in with 9♦ 2♥ 10♣ K♠ . Mr.Buster took it on with a double-suited K♣ 5♣ 3♠ 6♠ and improved to a flush on the board of A♠ 3♥ 5♠ 9♥ 10♠ . Fred_Brink was sent to the rail in 5th place for $3,394.10.

The short-stacked rtspurs collided with chip leader 11_KING_11 in one of the key pots of the final table. rtspurs was all in preflop with 5â™  Kâ™  Qâ™  9♥ against 11_KING_11’s double-suited A♦ 2♦ K♥ J♥ . The board rolled off J♦ 3♣ Q♣ 3♥ 8♥ to give rtspurs queens up to take the pot to stay alive.

At this point, it seemed that the players were keen to discuss a deal:

rtspurs said, “discuss deal is ticked lads, give ya a chance”
11_KING_11 said, “where?”
Mr.Buster said, “i ticked it….”
Mr.Buster said, “doesnt hurt to see the numbers”
rtspurs said, “I would be looking for a bit more with extra aside for winner”
Mr.Buster said, “rtspurs….with these blinds its 1-2 hands from being bust”
Mr.Buster said, “ii had 3.4 million 10 minutes ago….lol”
rtspurs said, “lets play”
11_KING_11 said, “trust me just look ull be happy”

While the chat continued, Mr.Buster landed a double up through rtspurs with a rivered full house, before the short-stacked bestM4N was sent crashing to the rail.

bestM4N was all in preflop with both Mr.Buster and rtspurs making the call. The two live players checked down a board of K♣ 7♦ 8â™  2♣ 5♣ where surprisingly Mr.Buster’s 2♥ A♦ J♦ J♣ pair of jacks was enough to scoop the pot. bestM4N took home $5,299.58 for 4th place.

With three players remaining, Mr.Buster, rtspurs and 11_KING_11 paused the clock to take a look at the deal numbers. Chip leader Mr.Buster was happy enough with the numbers presented by Team Online Pro Roy “GodlikeRoy” Bhasin but it was rtspurs who wanted to sweeten the pot. rtspurs wanted to keep the same payout but increase the amount to play for from the minimum $2,000 to $4,000. The difference would have to come from the other two, who obviously weren’t thrilled with that, so it was quickly decided to just play it out.

That decision would ultimately hurt the short-stacked 11_KING_11. With a limp and a raise in front, 11_KING_11 moved all in with K♥ 5♥ 2â™  K♦ but rtspurs wasn’t going anywhere from 8â™  4â™  A♥ A♦ . The board ran out Q♣ 3â™  6â™  6♥ 10â™  to see rtspurs make a flush to collect the pot and eliminate 11_KING_11 in 3rd place for $8,715.46.

Heads-up Chip Counts
Seat 1: Mr.Buster (2,845,959 in chips)
Seat 2: rtspurs (7,524,041 in chips)

It was the battle of Iceland versus Ireland, with rtspurs holding a healthy chip lead entering heads-up play. However with the blinds at 125k/250k, anything could happen at this point.

Mr.Buster said, “wanna check numbers? this is pretty much one hand now”

Mr.Buster’s request was ignored and after Mr.Buster took the first pot, rtspurs would win the next five to wrap things up.

The final hand would see a series of raises commit the chips preflop with rtspurs going with J♦ J♠ 9♠ 2♥ as Mr.Buster held A♠ 4♣ 3♦ K♥ .

The board ran out 6♦ 9♥ Q♠ Q♦ 2♦ to leave rtspurs with two pair to take it down. Mr.Buster had to be content with $15,032.35 for 2nd place with rtspurs grabbing the TCOOP title along with $24,674.92 in prize money!
