Germans would make up nearly half of the final table during tonight’s TCOOP 2014 Event #42 $27 2X-Turbo with Rebuys. But, only one would make it into the five-way deal that cut the biggest piece of $61,429.14 for the chip leader ramyon. ramyon could not ride that chip lead into a TCOOP title however as the UK’s RickyBoy1990 would take home $66,987.12 after defeating Germany’s snazan heads-up claimin the extra $8,000.00 set aside from the chip chop and the champion’s TCOOP commemorative chip protector.

Only one Red Spade would slide into the cash during today’s whirlwind of rebuy madness. After 6,609 entries, 12,844 re-buys, and 3,666 add-on for $27 a piece, Team Online’s Andre Coimbra was one of the 855 players withdrawing from the $567,571.45 prize pool after finishing in 830th place ($153.24).

Heading into the final weekend of the TCOOP 2014 tournament series CMoosepower held a 20 point lead over the first winner of the Triple COOP Shawn “buck21” Buchanan who claimed his TCOOP victory in Event #33 playing Razz (one day before James “Andy McLeod” Obst took down the second Triple COOP with a victory a few hours ago in Event # 40). While the Triple COOP achievement is huge, it does not come with a Champion’s Trophy and 2015 PCA package worth $16,500. CMoosepower would be one of 28 people still in the tournament after the fourth hourly break locking up at least 25 points towards the TCOOP Player of the Series title.

The first to push the Player of the Series title out of reach however would be stopped by ramyon. With the blinds up to 125K/250K ante 31,250 CMoosepower would open shove for 1.04 million from the small blind as ramyon quickly called with pocket kings K♥ K♠ . Bad luck for the Player of the Series leader as CMoosepower flipped up Q♥ 6♠ . A six on the flop was the only card to match the 8♠ 10♦ 6♥ 7♠ 7♦ board as CMoosepower took away $1,333.79 in 22nd place.

Only nine minutes to get down to two tables as ramyon was intent on clearing out Table 115. A three-way all-in preflop hand worth 10.2 million chips between Wouaz, el_klonkador, and ramyon. ramyon covered all the bets as Wouaz pushed all-in for 2.6 million, el_klonkador did the same from the button for 3.5 million, and ramyon was happy to call the bets from the small blind holding pocket aces Aâ™  A♥ . While el_klonkador’s Qâ™  A♣ rivered a queen, Wouaz’s pocket sevens 7♥ 7♦ never had a chance on the 8â™  4â™  J♥ 3♣ Q♦ board, ramyon’s aces scooped the 10.2 million chip pot as the field shrunk to 15.

25 minutes in we would have hand-for-hand play and as the blinds moved up to 300K/600K ante 75K our final nine would be named. kiaraliam open shoved for 2.1 million from the hijack seat as Faborizer made the call from the button holding Q♥ A♣ as the blind folded. kiaraliam showed the dominated 4♥ A♦ which sat down and exited quietly on the 2♥ K♦ 9♠ Q♠ J♦ board earning $3,291.91 in tenth place.

doko no more

As the blinds climbed up to 400K/800K ante 100K microstacked doko7777 (thanks to running into JustNoPain’s pocket aces) would be all-in from the big blind. AKLJ90 would raise to 1.66 million from middle position as no one gave any action. A♦ 6♦ for AKLJ90 would play against doko7777’s Qâ™  8♥ on the 9â™  Jâ™  J♥ Kâ™  3♥ board to claim the two million chip pot knocking out doko7777 in ninth place ($4,427.05).

snazan snatches all of Leonileona’s chips

Onward and upwards the blinds would go to 600K/1.2MM ante 150K as snazan would shove from early position for 4.4 million as Leonileona covered in the small blind making the call with pocket sixes 6♦ 6♣ . Those sixes failed to get past the flop as snazan’s 10â™  Q♦ flopped a queen and rivered a flush Qâ™  3â™  A♣ 2â™  7â™  for good measure. On the next hard the roles were reversed as Leonileona was all-in for just 618,604 holding 9♦ J♣ facing snazan’s J♦ K♦ . Despite the straight draw 8♦ 6♣ 7â™  3♦ 8♥ Leonileona would exit eighth place ($7,094.64).

Chip leader wakes up

ramyon let the rest of the table cannibalize itself long enough and decided to take action in the 700K/1.4MM ante 175K blind level. Watch below as ramyon takes down the 7.4 million chip pot to eclipse the 20 million chip count:

ramyon’s A♦ 6♦ which was gold for AKLJ90 earlier, would prove to be good again against drobin x’s Qâ™  10♦ on the all low 8♥ 6♣ 3♣ 2♣ 2â™  board. For the effort drobin x collected $12,486.57 in seventh place.

Diamonds no good this time

AKLJ90 would take out the first player at tonight’s Event #42 final table with a couple of diamonds. However, with the blinds moving up to 800K/1.6MM ante 200K those diamonds would fail to get AKLJ90 to the chip chop talks. Holding K♦ 6♦ AKLJ90 would shove from the small blind for 4.3 million chips as RickyBoy1990 covered and made the call from the big blind with Aâ™  9♦ . Zero diamonds on the 3♣ 10â™  10♣ 8♥ J♣ board would hand over $18,162.28 in sixth place for AKLJ90.

Five-way all day

One of the smoothest five-way deal this writer has seen during a COOP series tournament would take place, as our final five players quickly agreed to the chip chop leaving $8,000.00 on the table for our champion:

ramyon (Uzbekistan) $61,429.14
RickyBoy1990 (United Kingdom) $58,987.12
JustNoPain (Russia) $46,133.46
snazan (Germany) $40,966.80
Faborizer (Switzerland) $39,411.59

Wasting no time

Having locked up the big cash, four hands after the five-way deal we would begin our spiral towards naming a new TCOOP champion tonight. With the blinds holding at 800K/1.6MM ante 200K RickyBoy1990 would open from the hijack seat for 4.8 million as Faborizer shoved from the small blind for seven million. Not folding A♥ 10♠ in this spot, RickyBoy1990 made the call as Faborizer showed the dominating big slick A♠ K♦ . The dictation over the small kicker would not last thought the flop as RickyBoy1990 hit the ten J♣ 4♥ 10♦ 3♣ A♦ claiming the 16.6 million chip pot and handing over $39,411.59 in fifth place to Faborizer.

Painful exit

The next hand would see JustNoPain swiping the chip lead away from ramyon during a 24.9 million chip pot as ramyon’s queen-jack would get clobbered against JustNoPain’s pocket aces. The cooler proved to be fatal for ramyon’s tournament chances as three hands later with the blinds moving up to 1MM/2MM ante 250K JustNoPain would min-raise from the cutoff as ramyon tried again and shoved for 10.4 million holding big slick. This time ramyon had the big advantage with big slick A♦ Kâ™  against JustNoPain’s K♦ 10â™  . One card from taking back the 24.9 million chip pot, big slick went down again as a ten on the river 3♣ J♦ 6♥ 5♣ 10♦ sent ramyon to the rail in fourth place ($61,429.14).

snazzy win

Not sure if “snazzy” has been used in the recent decade to describe something cool but snazan inspired the adjective to be included in tonight’s report. With the blinds holding at 1MM/2MM ante 250K JustNoPain would shove for 11.7 million from the small blind K♥ 2♣ . snazan feeling lucky and covering made the call with a couple of clubs 10♣ 7♣ . While no clubs showed up, a ten on the flop Jâ™  9♣ 10♦ 3â™  5♥ would ship the 24.2 million pot to snazan as JustNoPain’s run was halted in third place ($46,133.46).

Boy oh boy

Five hands later with RickyBoy1990 holding a 42.1 million to 33.4 million chip advantage both players decided to finish off Event #42 after the flop. Check out the TCOOP clinching hand below:

After the 10♦ 7♦ 8♥ flop both players decided to make a play for the 66.9 million chip pot as RickyBoy1990 check-raised all-in and snazan called for less holding a mid ace 6♥ A♦ . RickyBoy1990 showed middle pair plus the open-ended straight draw 8♣ 9♥ . The draw was not need as the 10â™  turn and 4♦ closed out RickyBoy1990’s TCOOP 2014 Event #42 victory worth $66,987.12!
