While it’s not the Sunday Million special edition which would wrap up two legs of the PokerStars Grand Slam all-in-one, tonight’s TCOOP 2014 Event #46 Sunday Warm-Up special edition would give the winner a different note of prestige. Winning a Sunday Major and a COOP title in one shot certainly makes it easier, especially when the blinds are moving at five minutes a piece versus the 15 minutes for the regularly paced Sunday Warm-Up. But, thanks to the TCOOP bumping up the guarantee from $500,000 to $750,000 the prizepool would breach the million mark ($1,052,000.00) and send two players home with six-figure paydays. SCOOP 2013 Event #38-M champion ninototoroko would add another leg to the Triple COOP by crushing the end of this 24 minute final table, taking home $165,037.76 plus the bragging rights of taking down a Sunday Major/TCOOP in under five hours.

Recent Triple COOP winner Shawn “buck21” Buchanan led SCOOP 2012 Event #22 champ CMoosepower by a mere 5 points for the TCOOP 2014 Player of the Series award going into the final day today. While Buchanan would blank in this one finishing well out of the money, CMoosepower would claim at least 10 points after finishing in 241st place ($589.12) thus temporarily taking over the lead.

Unlike the normal Sunday Warm-Up where the field usually reaches the final two tables after nine hours of play, today’s TCOOP infused event would get there in a shade under four. Two full tables of nine would enjoy the five minute break prior to the final table. goodes37hall who enjoyed chopping up Event #14 during MicroMillions 4 would take the chip lead into the break.

But the heavy hitter looking for his first TCOOP title would be lurking near the top of the leaderboard. Rodrigo Caprioli already has three SCOOP titles to his name, the latest coming in 2013’s Event #26-H clearing $65K for the win. Caprioli would help himself towards this goal knocking out JAMES-OO7 in 18th place ($3,156.00) and kicked his stack up to nearly four million with blinds at 125K/250K ante $31,250.

zcedrick (United Kingdom) and Dantistcopra (Ukraine) would also collect $3,156.00 in 16th and 17th place fairly quickly after the British super spy took leave. gomir would claim the first pay bump to $4,734.00 in 15th place after a nasty beat by the hands of Svaeren. NANDO368 (Portugal) and amalgamer (Kazakhstan) would depart in 13th and 14th place in under five minutes after gomir also collecting $4,734.00 a piece.

Caprioli’s dreams of adding a TCOOP title were also dashed by the hands of Svaeren who called Rodrigo’s 3.6 million chip shove from the big blinds holding pocket sevens 7♠ 7♦ . The pocket pair would hold against 5♥ A♦ on the 10♦ 4♥ 4♦ Q♥ K♦ board sending Caprioli out in 12th place ($6,132.00). Shortly after, goodes37hall who held the chip lead after getting back from the break, would depart in 11th place ($6,132.00) starting up hand-for-hand play.

With the blinds moving up to 250K/500K ante 62,500 R@!$er666 would open shove for 1.6 million as love2hit, who went on a huge heater in the past 15 minutes to take over the chip lead, also shoved. Naza114 holding just 268,036 chip behind after paying the big blind made the call holding 6♠ 2♠ . love2hit’s A♠ 10♠ failed to catch up to R@!$er666’s big slick K♠ A♥ on the 5♦ 7♠ 7♣ J♥ 9♠ board to finish Naza114’s tournament in tenth place and start the final table shown below:

A dollar short

With the blinds bumping up to 300K/600K ante 75K shortstacked dollarmatian failed to find a good spot to shove on the first orbit but caught an opening in the cutoff. dollarmatian would push for 1.01 million holding K♠ 2♠ as it folded to ShP89 in the small blind holding higher spades A♠ 3♠ and also shoving for 2.48 million. No bites out of the big blind as ShP89’s ace would rule on the J♣ 5♥ 9♥ Q♥ 8♣ board showing the exit to dollarmatian in ninth place ($8,416.00).

Blackjack no good here

Perhaps if love2hit was playing a different card game today the Dutch rounder would still be in the hunt for a six-figure payday and a TCOOP title. As the blinds moved up to 400K/800K ante 100K love2hit found a suited blackjack Q♥ A♥ in middle position and shoved for 6.4 million. Holding 20 or pocket jacks J♣ J♥ ninototoroko would also shove for 10.7 million from the small blind. No hearts on the board and unfortunately for love2hit, the only broadway card to show up was a jack 9♦ 8♣ 8♦ 6♦ J♠ giving ninototoroko jacks full as love2hit busted in eighth place ($13,150.00).

Not very jolly after this hand

Seven hands later ninototoroko and Jollymakky would ship preflop for a 7.2 million chip pot. Watch below to see who moved on and who got moved to the rail:

Pocket sevens 7♠ 7♦ were gold for ninototoroko as Jollymakky’s K♥ Q♥ took a straight flush draw to the river 2♣ 8♠ 9♥ J♥ 6♦ but whiffed while collecting $23,670.00 in seventh place.

Merfini is finished

On the next hand Merfinis, which sounded like a haughty cocktail one would buy at a country club but Goggle claims instead that it’s a Japanese hair gel, would shove 3.1 million chips from the big blind after ShP89’s min-raise from the hijack seat. Only 1.1 million to call ShP89 had the chips and the hand A♦ A♠ to do so. Merfinis’ K♦ J♦ flopped well hitting two diamonds for the potential ace cracker. But, the turn and river blanked 4♦ 3♣ 6♦ 8♥ J♠ sending Merfinis back to the salon in sixth place ($34,190.00).

nino takes over the tournament

After a dozen hands of maneuvering and whispers of chop talks, ninototoroko had enough and decided to drop the hammer on this tournament. With the blinds up to 600K/1.2MM ante 150K ninototoroko briefly lost the chip lead but stormed back after doubling up off Svaeren for a 22 million chip pot. Two hands later ninototoroko would come back for the rest of the chips. Holding 5.4 million, Svaeren would shove from the cutoff seat with 8♣ K♣ as ninototoroko three-bet to 9.6 million while in possession of pocket nines 9♦ 9♥ . No callers from the blinds and only a eight and one club for Svaeren 7♥ 8♥ Q♠ J♣ 3♠ would send the shark avatar back out to sea in fifth place ($44,710.00).

Four hands later R@!$er666 would be all-in from the big blind as ninototoroko got a chance for a cheap elimination in the small blind. Paying only 599,492 more, ninototoroko’s Q♠ 3♠ would take a shot at R@!$er666’s A♥ 8♠ . Instead of landing a jab the queen-trey turned into a knockout uppercut, hitting a full house on the Q♥ 3♦ 4♠ 9♥ 3♥ board to end R@!$er666’s run in fourth place ($59,438.00). Chalk up another big final table for R@!$er666 who nearly won the Women’s Sunday in March 2012.

Showing no mercy

ninototoroko embraced the run with a flourish by shoving preflop every hand and winning six in a row to this point. On the next hand after R@!$er666’s demise Paul “Paolo69” Foltyn would try to stand tall under ninototoroko’s button shove by calling all-in for 8.1 million from the small blind. With several big final tables to his credit including a $245K score for fourth place during the WCOOP 2012 Event #22 high roller Foltyn knew he had to stop ninototoroko somehow and hopefully his 10♣ A♦ would shave enough off the chip leader’s stack. Unfortuantely for Paul, ninototoroko’s 8♣ 7♣ would find two pair on the K♦ 8♦ J♥ 7♠ J♦ board knocking out Foltyn in third place ($86,790.00).

Speed bump for the win

While the odds certainly favored ninototoroko to steamroll into the TCOOP title, ShP89 would at least try to make it interesting. The first order of business was stopping ninototoroko’s winning streak.

Done.

ShP89 would double up to 11.3 million on the first hand of heads-up play.

Next order of business was to stay alive.

Done.

After ninototoroko won the next three hands, ShP89 holding 7.9 million chip would double up again.

Last order of business, win as a heavy favorite. ShP89 had a shot to take over the chip lead and possibly finish off a victory. However, the cards would lean to favor ninototoroko. Check out the TCOOP Event #46 Sunday Warm-Up special winning hand below:

In the amount of time it took for the flop to hit the virtual final table, ShP89’s Q♦ A♥ went from the big favorite to the big dog as ninototoroko’s 9♦ A♦ not only flopped the nine but also two diamonds. Lack of a two-outer on the turn and river 3♦ 4♦ 9♥ K♥ 10♥ and ninototoroko claimed the full $165,037.76 as tonight’s newly crowned TCOOP champion!
