I am happy that WCOOP is coming. It’s going be the largest series of online tournaments worldwide and there will be 62 chances to win the title. And 30,000,000USD guaranteed – which is a great figure!

For me it is my first WCOOP where I’m going to play more events as well, as until last year I was spending much more time playing live, rather than online. Now I am still discovering the world of online poker and for the future that means quite a big challenge for me. In WCOOP 2011 I am planning to play more than 15 events. Of course mostly NLHE full ring, I will also play one or two heads-up tournaments but I am looking forward to the 2-7 Triple Draw and Omaha tournaments as well. Especially 2-7 Triple Draw NL is a discipline which I like very much. It is a nice chance to try other variants of poker within a nice field. Of course the chance to win much more than usual is great as well. But you know, a bracelet is a bracelet. Of course to play EPT London or PCA is something totally different because you play with live tells, live atmosphere, but WCOOP tournaments are very special too and are a great opportunity for everyone to play with the best players in the world from your own home, without the need to spend 13 hours in the plane, or thousands of dollars on the trip expenses. And of course you can celebrate your bracelet with your best friends’ immediately after heads-up and they can follow you online until the last winning hand!

My tips for WCOOP first timers is manage your bankroll and to choose the tournaments in your strongest variants or in variants you want to practice pretty well. Great opportunity is to try something new for few hundreds of USD. Of course for European players, it is now good that USD are “quite cheap” so we can play more tournaments for less money :)) Discipline and patience are very important as well and one of the keys is set-up the best strategy for different levels of the tournaments, stacks, position etc. I look forward to meeting my friends behind the virtual table too. Of course I am ready to do all my best and I will do. I hope that at the end I going to bring my first bracelet to Bratislava, the capital of Slovak Republic 🙂
