THE CAT THAT GOT THE CREAM

Following his Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) victory for $73K, Fintan “easywithaces” Hand hasn’t eased his foot off the gas even a little bit.

On Monday night (June 15) Hand bested the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for $29K live on stream, showcasing a final table masterclass in running pure and playing great as he took down just about every available bounty.

You can watch the whole stream back here.

While our eyes were glued to the drama on Twitch, there was some drama off-camera, too.

During the stream, Hand’s cat Raphy had “relieved itself” all over the bed while his partner Hannah was trying to sleep.

“H, I’m sorry the cat peed on the bed, but we just won loads of cash!” an excited Hand said after his victory. “Does that make you feel better?”

“Not at all,” replied a sleepy Hannah.

SPRAGGY’S ALL-DAY BENDER

Fintan isn’t the only PokerStars Ambassador to have been putting in the work of late.

Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg has been steady on the Twitch grind, and even put in an all-day session on Thursday (June 11) that saw him start very early in the morning and play until the early morning hours.

During that time Spraggy final-table bubbled the $215 Thursday Thrill after a few funny encounters with streamer Patrick “Egption” Tardif.

While that tournament didn’t work out, Spraggy would provide some highlights elsewhere, particularly this fantastic call in the $55 Daily Marathon.

Spraggy ended his long session with a third-place finish in the Bounty Builder $44.

LIVE-STREAMED GRUDGE MATCH

What happened for James “OP-Poker James” Mackenzie and online MTT grinder “poker@luffyD” to dislike each other enough to set up a grudge match?

To be honest, we don’t know. But we do know that the match was a lot of fun to watch.

The two decided to play 500 hands of $2/$5 on private heads-up PokerStars cash tables, and whoever ended the session in profit would win an extra $500 side-bet.

After an entertaining battle, Mackenzie came out on top. You can watch the whole stream below.

BEST CLIPS OF THE WEEK

Great result for Arlie: “A stinky one to win.”

Tissue game on-point.

Today, that all changed.

The power of positivity.

“Triple up with aces incoming.”

“King of clubs and king of hearts.”

“Nick from OP-Poker, where are you?”

A mini-heart attack.

ONES TO WATCH

Charlie Carrel

CHARLIE “EPIPHANY77” CARREL – www.twitch.tv/epiphany77

If you don’t know who Charlie “Epiphany77” Carrel is by now, you haven’t been paying attention.

Over the past five years, the British phenom has risen to the highest stakes and has enjoyed several seven-figure scores both live and online throughout his career, including a win in the SCOOP Main Event for $1.2M.

When we spoke to Carrel last year he told us about taking time away from poker to set up a charity. He’s also been streaming a lot on Twitch though and is attempting a bankroll challenge at the micro stakes.

If you tune in to his streams you’re guaranteed to learn a few things.

LUKAS “ROBINPOKER” ROBINSON – www.twitch.tv/RobinPoker

We mentioned Lukas “RobinPoker” Robinson in last week’s Tribune as his poker bingo streams caught our attention.

Now, Robinson–who is a member of Fintan Hand’s TEAM ATB–thrust himself back into the spotlight this week with both a victory in an $11 8-Max event for $875 and a fourth-place finish in the Big $11 for $1,043, at the same time.

It was a fantastic stream, and here’s hoping for many more just like it.

Make sure you follow RobinPoker on Twitch so you don’t miss them.
