Eight more tournaments wrapped on Monday night in the 2021 Turbo Series at PokerStars. Here’s a full rundown of all the action.

TURBO TAKES

Garagnani grabs another: We have grown accustomed over the years to seeing the name “pvigar” on final tables of major poker tournaments. It’s the PokerStars alias for Pedro Garagnani of Brazil, and pvigar has won more than $3.7 million in online tournaments recorded by Pocket Fives. Those victories include tournaments during WCOOP (in 2017), Winter Series (in 2020), multiple times in the High Roller Club and — as of last night — the Turbo Series too. Garagnani was the last man standing in Event #75 – $215 NLHE, PKO, which meant a paycheck of $40,967, including $16,303 in bounties, was heading his way. This was a pretty tough field, as you’d expect for a $215 buy-in tournament, with 1,922 entries and the likes of Sebastian “p0cketOO” Sikorski and the much-decorated “drupa-lucker” at the final table. But this one was Garagnani’s, and another title for Brazil.

Moldova on the board: By and large, players from the usual countries won last night in Turbo Series. There were two for the Netherlands and Russia and one for Brazil. However, just as the sun was coming up over Moldova, “karateli2020” put his country on the map too with a victory over a field of 3,853 in the $22 PKO event that rounded off Monday night’s action. This was worth $4,675 from the main prize pool, plus another $3,828 in bounties, and was the first success this series for Moldova.

TWITCH WATCH

Fintan “easywithaces” Hand knew exactly what he was doing in the following pot. He was bluffing, and was even singing about it. But did a gutsy river check-shove work? Find out…

As for Spraggy, he was misclicking. But sometimes it works out…

COUNTRIES LEADER BOARD

One victory for Brazil and a bagel for the UK means that the South Americans are back out on top alone. Netherlands and Russia claimed two wins each, moving them right behind. The new countries added to the board — Moldova and Finland — mean we now have 26 nationalities represented in this series.

10 – Brazil
9 – UK
8 – Netherlands, Russia
5 – Canada
4 – Germany
3 – Austria, Greece, Poland, Sweden
2 – Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Japan, Malta, Mexico, Romania
1 – Argentina, Belarus, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Moldova, New Zealand, Norway, Ukraine
